I know that not everyone is a role-player, but I also know that over half of you refuse to even try due to lack of confidence. So, in a weird way, my suggestion will also be a help tool at the same time.

The basics of role-playing

Pick a character - whether this character was made by you or somebody else, that hardly matters in a role-play, especially the ones here in the guild.

Make a character profile - while this isn't always a necessity, it is always a good idea to have one. See, if a character had been made by someone else, the beauty of a role-play is you can make that character your own by adding original stuff. For example:

The real Ichigo Kurosaki was a substitute soul reaper on the show of Bleach.
The new Ichigo Kurosaki could be a carpenter with a knack for making a good pizza.

While Ichigo's looks wouldn't change much, what he does can change, you see? And there are plenty of sites that you can go to in order to look up a certain character.

The 3rd person rule - now this is probably what scares most people. But how many of us has told camping stories during the summer or shared gossip at one time or another? This is the easiest way to remember third person. Role-plays are essentially a group of people creating stories.

Now here is where my suggestion comes in... after reading this, my suggestion to you guys is to try to role-play in the Village playhouse somewhere. And if you are still scared, then PM either myself or I am sure that Blizzard rainbow would be willing to help too.
