First off this is out of character =P

So I'm rather new at the anon scene, only been around for a year. I've tried several different types of messages.

My characters bg story, which I'm summarizing (well trying to) and putting on my profile.

Journal entries, which are basically her thoughts on things related to the event.

And Short stories involving her and the person being gifted, usually themed with the event.

I had done personalized drabbles, Cana's take on the person she's gifting but that requires a lot of lurking and paying attention to people that I don't have the patience for. sweatdrop

So to the point....I'd like some feedback for what type of messages you all like getting, not just the things I myself have done. I cant really decide what I want to do so seeing what you guys like will help me decide =) Thanks in advance for any feedback I get! heart

Any sort of sweet message makes my heart skip a beat, whether it is as a letter, story or a poem. But I also really love the roleplay type of messages. emotion_bigheart

I suppose people like any sort, as long as you put your heart in it? As much as I love poems, they don't mean as much to me if you can tell that they were thrown together in a couple of minutes with very little thought to it. But if someone has worked hard for their message, or try to write it specifically for one person, it generally shows. 3nodding

Thanks for the feedback =) I think I might end up going with the roleplay type ones but I'll see what other comments I get first.

I vastly prefer prose over poetry, but I don't particularly care what kind of prose it is.

He personally enjoys receiving most kinds of messages, but short, well written stories are his favourite. To him, they take the reader to a new world and either let them become part of it, or let them experience it through another. It helps if the story isn't intimidatingly long.

Now if only he could express this out loud.

I like ta send short stories involving Lusty and the recipient. I keep a few generic messages ta send fer whenever I feel like goin' on a giftin' rampage but don't have the time fer personalized messages--sometimes I tweak 'em a bit ta fit the individual. When I have the time, I send a more personalized story or message.

I've also sent out personalized, slightly humorous limericks--mostly about gettin' yer booty. I like receiving all kinds, after all, variety is the spice of life.

Mostly, I agree with tha others--send out what ye like and what yer good at. People will enjoy them no matter what.

I love Limericks! And Haiku. There's something about those forms of poetry with set word rules that I like, probably the test of my wordplay skills they bring.

As for Anon Letters, if I had to pick a favorite type it'd be the short stories. The detail and care that goes into them brings a lot of joy to my day. I also like hilarious stuff I can respond to. Heck, during the first (or was it second?) day of Spring Fling I got some funny ones and had a little dialog between myself and my character Xashowd to respond to them in the thread. It was a lot of fun, might do it again in the Summer Event.

I also agree with everyone else. As long as you love it, it doesn't matter what you write. Do what makes you happy, and in turn that happiness will spread to others.

There once was a pirate named Lusty
Whom Gaians had said was quite busty.
She said "May I please
Give yer booty a squeeze?"
And fluttered her lashes so trusty.

Ah, not me best, ever, but it be all right--ye get the gist wink I love me a good limerick.

As the others have said, do what you like. People are diverse in what type of anon they like, so it's nigh impossible to find one that will perfectly please all.

I certainly do. cat_biggrin

Xashowd turned and replied in kind
"Why sure, I don't really mind."
He eagerly smiled
His thoughts like a child
As he nommed on a Watermelon rind.

I just had to. One good poem deserves another!

Thank'ee! I hope Gaia updates the Guilds eventually so we can do all the same stuff as in the Forums. Being able to have Youtube Vids show up (and not just be limited to links) would be nice.
