Shasita Hello everyone smile For my internship I have to set up a questionnaire in Japanese and distribute it among Japanese people (who are living in Japan). I would be eternally grateful if anyone could tell me whether a questionnaire should be in teineigo or sonkeigo and what the best way to distribute such a questionnaire digitally in Japan would be. -edit- it seems most questionnaires I see online are basic teineigo (using -masu and -desu) Can anyone please answer these questions for me?
ʕ ·ᴥ·ʔ Well, you can use both. Teineigo: like you said is -desu -masu
Sonkeigo: when the action is done by the other person that is not you.
Kenjogo: a third one, is used for an action done by yourself.
Here's a site with examples: http://www5.airnet.ne.jp/tomy/knowhow/sonkei.htm
so Miru 見る よろしければ書類をご覧になって下さい。 Please look at the document. 書類を拝見させて頂きました。 I have seen the document. 書類を見ました。 I've seen the document.
It depends on who is doing the action/verb.
