I started getting very deep, red, stretch marks.. and I don't even know how. I remember gaining a lot, then going back to my normal weight Iue to stress. Is that the cause?

I'm not overweight, but it makes me feel like I am. I'm 125 5"1, and I'm so afraid of taking my shirt off when the times right. I feel like I won't take my shirt off unless the lights are off.

I've read that you CAN'T get rid of them, but they can fade.

I just want to know what will make them fade faster. I've had them for about 6 months, and me and my boyfriend just recently started talking about and planning on having sex. It's one of my biggest insecurities ever, even though he says he won't care. sad

Almost everyone has some stretch marks somewhere. We get them when our skin stretches. That means that we tend to get them on body parts that get bigger during weight gain, puberty, and/or pregnancy (like stomachs, thighs, hips, and breasts).

So you're not abnormal, and you have nothing to feel weird about.

You can't get rid of stretch marks. But rubbing aloe, olive oil, lotion with vitamin E, and/or lotion with vitamin C on the area may help the stretch marks be less noticeable. It also may help reduce the chance that you'll get more stretch marks in the future (if you're well hydrated and your skin is well moisturized, then your skin can stretch a bit more without putting up as much of a fuss).

I've found that little imperfections that you notice about yourself usually go right over your S/O's head. Stretch marks are a part of life. Both women and men get them, so it's not a huge deal.

In my case, I am fairly overweight. I have lots of stretch marks - some faded, some not, and unless I physically point them out to my boyfriend, he doesn't notice a thing. (Or if he does, he doesn't care enough to say anything)

The first time you have sex, you'll probably be so focused on the sensations and heightened emotion that neither of you will have time or focus to even consider each others imperfections. He sounds like a caring and considerate person, so I'm sure if it's a topic that you want to bring up with him at the time, he'll be a gentleman.
