Sup guys? Wish I had time to dedicate to forum RP, but well...life.

Anyway, I'm getting back into RL tabletop stuff, and I'm considering building a Dwarf Monk. I like the Drunken Master archetype, if used in conjunction with an archetype that can utilize the extra Ki.

Any suggestions?

Maybe a system to work with?

Ahh, I've played that before. Bier Cervesa, the Dwarven Monk.

Some people I gamed with (it was done online, except via AIM chat) got annoyed that I rolled better the more my character drank. This is using the online dice option too, so they SAW the results.

This was back before 3.5 was released though, so my memory about any specific "build" is lost to time, I'm afraid.

I've considered going the Qinggong Monk route, as its benefits seem to outweigh the various drawbacks, not to mention it can still synergize with other archetypes.

So swap that out for the war scholar. But if you are going with Drunken monk, then go for that. I suppose a Drunken Ninja would work too. But I more than 3 classes get really really slow.

Here's what I've got so far:

Drunken Master and Qinggong synergize relatively well. I'm considering coupling that with Vow of Silence, as well as a third archetype in Monk of the Mountain (for now, need to see what else would work). The two monk styles don't conflict down the line, and Qinggong may have some conflicting bits, but its irrelevant as I have the choice to swap a monk ability for a new one.

I would suggest Alchemist in there too. The mutigen allows you to get a bonus from drinking something, then you can boost your strength without hurting your Wisdom. Either way I see you doing fine.

If you take three levels of monk, at level 3 you could have zero bab

As much as I'd love to multiclass this, I'm looking to go strictly one class.

using two archetypes is a multiclass. But good luck. I am excited to see this in the end.

Eh it could be. Again, Each archetype is a separate class for purpose of leveling. The exception of that being skills that allow you to add other levels in.
