+ Cliffside Park, roughly thirty five miles southeast of Ouran Academy. +

( For timeline's sake, this match will be happening before Kyandii's sparring match with Strawberry. c: )

'You'll be warm as soon as you start your warm ups, Kyan. Tough it out, girl.' Despite the mental words to herself, she couldn't help the chill that passed through her as she jogged along the winding park path to the coast in which she was supposed to meet her fellow Senior classmate. In all out honesty, it wasn't nearly as cold as she thought it was, but the petite girl hated the cold... a lot, so she couldn't help but exaggerate.

Quietly berating herself for her idiotic need for the dramatic match to be held outside, she finally came to the spot she was to meet him. She was early, by an entire twenty minutes. But with it being as chilly as it was, she wanted the extra time to warm up fully before the match was to begin. The thought of the sparring match fast approaching suddenly sent a thrill of excitement through her again, as it had been practically since Mori and her had finalized the plans for the event. "Yes! I'm so pumped!" She bounced a bit, did a random cartwheel before taking off the light jacket and throwing it off to the side with her water bottle. The outfit she chose was simple. Black tank top, jean shorts, and tennis shoes; the only thing that seemingly stuck out was the rather ugly scar that started from her shoulder and disappeared beneath her shirt.

"I wonder..." While doing some minor arm rotations, she approached the cliff and looked down the "small" fifty foot drop down to the sand and water below. With fifteen minutes to spare, she gave a grin and began to descend down the cliff. A little climbing would be the perfect warm up.

[ Sorry it took me so long to reply! I didn't mean to leave you hanging, I've just been really under the weather lately. ]

About five minutes after Kyandii began her descent along the cliff side, Mori walked up after having his driver drop him off near by. He had dressed in a green sweater, brown slacks, and sneakers -- he also wore an olive-colored jacket and a gold-colored scarf, which he was in the process of removing as he looked around for any sign of the other third-year student.

It was quiet, aside from the sounds of the chilly breeze blowing by. There were only minutes left until their match; he wondered if she'd come on time or if she'd be late? Well, he still had his warm ups and stretches to do, so he'd do that while he waited...

"..." But first, that view! He approached the rail along the edge of the cliff and stared off into the distance, admiring that warm sunset in the cold weather. "Ah," he blinked when he heard sounds from below and he leaned over the rail to peer down at the cliff side; he hadn't expected to see his opponent climbing along it.

"... Kyandii-san?" Mori called out to her to get her attention. Interesting choice of warm up.

( It's quite alright! No obligations here, you focus on getting better~! ;u; )

So this cliff climbing idea perhaps hadn't been such a great idea. Being right off the coast, the rocks had a dangerous slick to them that unexpectedly took her longer to overcome, but she was nearly at the top again when she heard a familiar voice calling down to her. "Ah?" Indigo/Silver eyes peered up into the face of her classmate and she immediately gave her usual grin in greeting. "Morinozuka! Good evening!" Kyandii would've waved, had it not been for the fact her hands were a little full... "Sorry sorry! I'll be up in a minute!"

With attention back peddled to her current predicament, it took her another forty-five seconds to ascend the last ten feet before she reached up for the railing and immediately rolled over it and back onto the grassy cliff. "Baw, I was really hoping to have gotten back up here before you arrived. Guess I need to train harder." But the warm up had worked and while she hadn't broken a sweat from the "minor" climb, she was at least warmer then she had been before.

"Were you were able to find the place okay?" She bounced lightly on her feet, either doing ankle bounces or just excited about the match they were about to start(or both). "The perfect place for a dramatic showdown, ne?" Grinning, she gave a rather proud smile as her eyes moved to the sunset. "Trusted you get past the fact that it's freezing..."

( I'm sorry. She doesn't know how to shut up... )

[ Thank you, will do. 'w' I'll be seeing my doc again on Monday so hopefully I'll feel better soon after that. *sooo tired forever* ]

He watched as Kyandii climbed back up to meet him and was going to offer her a hand, but she got over the rail quickly. "When did you get here?" he asked, though guessed she'd been pretty early.

As she excitedly bounced in place, Mori set aside his things on a nearby bench that faced towards the view past the cliff edge. "I was," he answered as he looked back over towards her. Mori pulled off his sweater and set it down with his jacket and scarf, then smoothed his hands over his white shirt before getting into some light stretches.

"Mm," he agreed when Kyandii spoke of the appropriate setting she'd chosen. It wasn't a rooftop (he wasn't surprised that didn't work out), but the coast and sunset made for a really beautiful backdrop -- though he didn't seem like it, he was feeling pretty pumped as well. The only thing that seemed to be missing now was dramatic music.

The tall host didn't mind the cold, but he'd just arrived and he'd been pretty bundled up until now. He turned his attention back to the other third-year, who was dressed in shorts and a tank top, and gave her a quiet look that seemed to ask, 'you'll be okay?'

[ lol! It's cool, it balances out with Mori not saying much. :U ]

( Gooood. *_* Now reeeeeeest. *rolls you into blanket cocoon and into bed* )

Noticing the look, it took a moment for her to decipher what he was silently asking. "Oh! I'm good!" Now. Still bouncing lightly in place, as it was best to keep the blood flowing in the mild rigid weather, her eyes glanced back at the cliff she had just come from. "I got here about twenty minutes ago. Floyd----oh er... one of my martial arts teachers," She briefly explained. "I've got a bad habit of not warming up properly... so by dropping me off early, he knew I'd have no choice but to do so just to stay warm." Not to mention the ride over had been on his trademark motorcycle at that. "But it worked~ so I'm good to go whenever you are! Ah-wait!"

As he was doing his stretches, she ran over to her discarded jacket and water bottle and pulled her cell phone and a cube(disguised as folded up speakers) from each of her pockets before racing back over. "I got some help getting music too!" She had been all for bringing the classic cd player, but that had been denied when the way of transportation had been decided. "I just... don't know how to get to it.." With furrowed brows, she fiddled with her cell phone like it was some alienated device. She used it for calls, and that was it. Not even texting. So the complex designs the phone companies offered were wasted on the girl who didn't even -like- having a connection with anyone when she purposely went out. 'Stupid phone...'

"We also didn't really discuss the conditions of the match either. I usually do anything-goes, no weapons." Eyes switched from looking at him and back to her phone a few times as she spoke. "Did you have any preference?"

[ *snuggles up in blanket cocoon* ninja *finally writes reply!* ]

Finishing up his stretches, Mori stood straight as he watched Kyandii get her phone and what he guessed were speakers. She'd put a lot into setting up their sparring match, so he'd have to make sure to show his appreciation with a good fight. "New phone?" he asked as he watched her finagle with the device. He slipped his hands into his pockets and moved to stand beside her, looking down to see if he could help her with it. The tall host was no tech wiz by any means, but he did like to use his phone for more than just talking (because, well, he didn't do much of that).

"That's fine," he said about the conditions. Thinking about how she mentioned 'usually', he looked from her phone to her. "How often do you call people out?" he asked. Looking back down at her phone, he pointed to a button that looked like a music note among her list of applications.

( Were you able to see the doctor and/or get over your cold? D: )

Her mouth made an 'o' expression as he pointed out the specific button, which she quickly pressed and was happy to recognize some of the music titles that popped up on the screen. "Ah- thank you! And no... I'm just not very fond of cell phones." She rubbed the back of her head a bit sheepishly. "Having a constant connection to everyone is just kinda off-putting to me, I suppose?" Meaning, when she didn't want to be found, she didn't want to be found. Yeah, she kept it on her person, though it was almost always on silent and she only answered it if she knew she absolutely needed to- or the person on the other end was someone she actually liked.

Kyandii moved to set the cell phone and speakers up on the bench, the lyricless music starting off slow. "Well other then you and Haninozuka..." She walked back over, a look of thought crossing her features. "I always challenged the castle guards to fights when I was a kid, but thinking back.. they were probably just humoring me." Ah, she was such a simple minded child back then. "But I've never sent out formal challenges like I did with you two. In the city, you either just attack or be attacked, it can happen at anytime really." She gave a light shrug of her shoulders.

She found a nice spot on the grassy cliff area and turned to him with an excited grin. "You ready, Morinozuka? Remember, I won't be going easy on you!"

[ I was! I've had so many appointments lately, haha. I've got anemia problems (they're not new), but I'm starting to feel better. No worries! ]

"Ah," Mori nodded as Kyandii explained her aversion to cellphones. He understood how it was off-putting, but he actually liked the available contact even if he didn't actually talk to anyone much. Not surprising.

He watched as she connected her phone to the speakers and listened as the music immediately began to fill the air. "Probably," he agreed about the guards. He imagined feisty little kiddo Kyandii going around issuing challenges to stern-faced grown men -- a cute and amusing thought, though there was nothing about him that didn't suggest he was thinking about anything else other than their impending match.

"ABR?" he asked at the mention of a certain city, following behind her as she headed towards the grass. He'd never heard of such a place until she mentioned it when they first met... he still wasn't sure if it sounded fun or just crazy. "Where is it?" It couldn't have been in Japan...

As they stood face to face, Mori gave a bow; when he rose, there was a slight smile on his face. "Good," was his simple reply as he assumed his ready position, his arms held up in front of him. He was looking forward to a friendly sparring match, since past challenges had been from people using him to try to foolishly prove something to themselves. He hated those kinds of challenges.

( //SO LATE. Also very much tempted to draw a mini comic of kiddo Kyan challenging those guards now... xD )

Music

Kyandii laughed and stuck her tongue out a bit at her classmate, "How about if you beat me, I'll answer any questions you have~?" Somehow she doubted the bribe would be of any use to Mori(not in the way it might interest an evil snake), but she'd at least answer the question concerning the ABR when they finished their fight.

Speaking of...

The petite 5'4'' third year settled down from her energetic bouncing and fell into stance. Fingers cracking slightly as they clenched at her side and in front of her. Though that anticipated grin never left her face, there was at least some manner of seriousness as well. Because she had been the one to challenge him, she didn't think it suiting that she kept the kendo champion waiting; and in all honesty... she was rather happy to start things off.

Without warning, the ball of her foot dug into the grass and she had launched herself at him in a flurry of rapid punches in attempt to drive him back from the start. One thing was for certain, she was quick and had at least some minor form of skill behind her moves-- even if they lacked strength.

(Been meaning to post this in her profile, just never got around to it. But I think it's only fair...)

Kyandii's Fighting Style

Offensive / Counter-Offensive
She prides herself in her speed, hard kicks, and judo throws.
While it's apparent she has had some form of martial arts training, her style is still a bit out of control and messy.

Horrible defense.
Lacks strength in punches.
Has poor reaction time.
