Hello.
Can I make a profile here for my Hogwarts student only and not his parents? Neither of his parents are magical and I don't intend for them to be major characters or to make a family home, but I would like to use them like NPCs - accessories in his posts at diagon alley, platform 9 ¾ etc.
If yes, would I still title the thread 'the "surname" family'?
You can make a profile for just your student, but please mention his parents as being NPCs. This way, if at a later date you do decide to play them, you can just add the profiles. You do still need to title the thread as "surname" family and follow the rules for the thread, meaning having the first post listing the family members. Your's would look something like:
Father's Name: NPC
Mother's Name: NPC
Student's Name
