Hello, I know this might be petty of me, But I need to let this all out. I am at my wit's end, and my friends either don't care about it, or is dealing with the same pest as I.
I am a roleplayer. I'm not a great one, but I produce a few paragraphs. I know my limits, and such. But over the past few months I've had to deal with a horrid person. I'm not going to say who this said person is, nor where problem is going down. I mean, it's gotten so bad, I get physically and emotionally upset when I see I have a Privet message, or see that she has quoted me.
I am in a guild that I'm pretty active and devoted to, and a few months ago a woman joined the guild, Lets call her Mary, Mary Sue. She irks me more than she should over the internet. The second she joined the guild, she questioned the set up the guild, and insisted we change the rules for her character, naturally we told her no. The guild has it's own system as to progress, and how to gain items, and grow and such. She couldn't comprehend why we wouldn't let her, and her alone, get what ever she wanted, and start out at a high stand point, when everyone, including the owners, had to start out as a beginner. After everyone gave her a flat out no, after a hissy fit, she finally fixed her character.
Now her character is a Gary Stu, If you don't know it means a Gary Stu, or Mary Sue are the "perfect" character, They are poorly developed characters, too perfect to be realistic or interesting. Fellow roleplayers, you know the type. He was born into a billionaire family, who are all well known in the entire world. His entire family are all in a secret organizations of assassins (this is a some what modern roleplay based off a kid show I mind you) and are all trained to be skilled fighters the moment they were released from the hospital. But this character, lets call him Gary, at the age of seven left the organizations to be a famous actor, even though he left at the age of seven, he is already an expert killer of nearly all weapons. Even though he's a world renowned actor, "recognized every where he goes", as a "house hold face" who also happens to be albino, the face about this organization that his famous family started is still known. Now that he's put his acting on hold, to start off on adventuring, he is a pacifist, he refuses to fight or battle (in a guild about battling), though he always wears a bullet proof fest, and always carries multiple weapons on his person. He knows every language known to man, and consistently speaks in multiple languages in each post, (and when every other character that speaks only English, she gets upset that they don't understand, because she adds subtitles that apparently are suppose to pop up.) Okay, that was the character that annoys me, and she still refuses to understand why everyone calls him a Gary Stu.
Back to Mary. After a month or two, she still refuses to accept that she must follow the rules like everyone us, and suddenly she decides to tell us the reason why she shouldn't have to follow the rules. She tells us that she invented roleplaying 20 years ago. She's 27 I mind you, and she expects everyone to bow down and let her do what she wants because she is the god of roleplaying (at the age of 7), she wants the captain and crew to allow her to get what she wants and do what she wants. A month or two had past since that nonsense, and after a few complaints about her roleplaying I ended up having to PM her about it. She would talk to the reader inside of her post, use size 24 font so everyone would read her post, and she would quote everyone in the area even if they weren't in the same building, room, or area. I had up to 3 complaints about her, so I needed to step in. I PMed her and explained the reasoning for me PMing her, and what she needed to stop, and I will admit I was a little more blunt than i should have been, after the other captains and crew members having already warned her about it, I thought she didn't need me to sugar coat it for her.
I mentioned that she should do that, and someone who has "created roleplay" should know better than to do that. She went off on me.
Over the course of 4 PMs going back and fourth she continued to say that the captains, crew, and I, were the worst roleplayers, human beings, and we should never be allowed to roleplay ever again, and that who ever taught us how to roleplay should be struck in the head for being such dumb asses. She continued to explain that our guild was the third worst guild in all of gaia, and that we should just quit trying. She continued to say that she was talking with all the other active members and they thought we were targeting her, and that they hated us and the guild, and accused the crew of hating everything about the guild. Knowing that was a lie, I called her out on it, and she completely dropped the matter, along with everything else in the PMs she couldn't defend. She continued to complain about everyone's characters being a blank wall of text, Including her best friend who joined the guild with her, and hated the fact that she had to interact with everyone. She also complained about the fact of the low literacy rate of the guild saying we shouldn't promote just throwing out a post. At this point I began to thing that she was merely a troll, but it dawned on me that she was not consistent enough, and to sloppy to be a troll. After a few PMs, she changed her story after I told her the captain did not tell her to quote everyone, and use size 24 font because I was in the same room with the captain when she told her to stop, along with her creating roleplay.
I kid you not, She then said that she's been roleplaying since the age of 7, but she did not create it until she was 12, but she didn't create roleplaying cave men did. She said that all in the same PM.
Ever since I put her temper tantrum to rest, she has been inputting every low blow in the OOC (out of character), and spouting out that we target her. She has also been putting words in all our mouths and telling everyone how we yelled at her, and called her every word in the book.
The problem is we cannot remove her because she's a big part in our event, and cannot remove her. So we dug our own grave with her.
Honestly, I don't really expect to read this because I know it's all over the place, and probably typo galore, but it helped to get it all out and to post this out in the internet universe. I would appreciate your input on the matter, or what you think I should do, but I most likely will end up deleting this later after coming to my own senses. thank you so much for reading, and sorry to introduce...Mary, into your life.
Kick her out, get a sloth to fill Mary's role, have infinite more fun putting the critter in silly hats and costumes. Either that or rocks fall and Mary won't stop dieing, no matter how many times she rerolls.

But sadly If we removed her, she would take everyone with her. Mary invited about five people, and they all are active. Only one of them all really side with Mary, the rest seems to grow tired of her whining because they can accept that they have to follow the rule, but I doubt she would allow them to stay, and make their life hell until they quit the guild. I would not put it past her.
How ever, Luke reminds me so much of Mary it's ridiculous. Luckily, I don't know her in the real world, but apparently she causes drama for her husband and her three year old, that she spouts out all the time.
You don't know how much I would love to replace her with a sloth.

*nods nods* her characters are too perfect and her story isn't legit at all. Heck, I found it as a lie. However, how she rubs in your faces that story about her rping at the age of 7 or made rp is annoying. I just hope that I won't deal with someone like her at my guild. Anyway, I hope things would get better for you
See if she knows said Gaians offline, and if she doesn't, see if you can get them to stay and ignore her childishness while she's banned from the guild. If she whines about the guild, only people like her should listen, and more intelligent people might end up looking at it and see a nice layout But yeah, she's definitely gotta go, and if the other four stay, even better. You might end up losing the one on her side, but so long you keep it professional, you should have minimal problems. If she starts harassing anyone in the guild or the guild itself, report her. See if the mods ban her...permanently

Actually she's apparently persuasive and confenced many of the others against us, luckily I PMed them and spoke with them, and letting what Mary said about them in the PMs, "accidental" slip up. Now most seem neutral, and that's how if should be, seeing as how Mary drug them in in the first place and threw them under the bus.
I know she knows some, if not all, 5 of them in the real world, but there's no telling.

hmm...i wonder if they try to distance themselves from her outside Gaia as well... Hoping for the bet, and that she does something to get banned soon
I own a couple Guilds myself, so I know were you are coming from. I have had to deal with a problem person too. Not to the degree of yours, but I finally had to remove them after repeated warnings to stop.
So my suggestion to you, is to ask yourself is this problematic person really worth keeping around. From what you have told me, this person is doing more harm then good. So if I were in your shoes I would ban her from the Guild.

I know, this is old, and no one wants to hear about it, but the war has come to a close. You want to hear how it ended? Then keep reading! if not.... stop here I suppose....
Yes, I understand there are worse things out there in the world, and I have it made. I know that, but frankly she was getting on my nerves and I need to b***h about it some where and this is it. I'm sorry if I'm ranting about this, and worse things are happening to you, but I bottled this up way to much, and frankly I was ready to start a mini series of updates of everything thing Mary could do, so people could see her ridiculousness, but I decided no one wanted to read it.
I cannot remember everything that has happened since April and now, and reading it all would just make me angry once again. But latest I can remember, She was bitching about how slow our event was going, when she disappears at weeks at a time. Since then "Mary" has terrorized us about how stupid our event is, how slow we are at updating it *while we were waiting for her, or even her best of friends, we'll call him Gary, but he's somewhat alright.
Mary some how got the approval for another character, so she would quit annoying everyone one who didn't reply within 3-4 hours of her post, after she had gone MIA for up to 2 weeks. (and yes, she complained to me because we were not matching her schedule of posting, logging on, and posting within 3-4 hours of her post and demanded we change the rules of activity. She also had made a complaint at how idiotic our literacy level rule was and demanded we raise the necessary limit to 4 paragraph+ so she would be happier being apart of the guild, when she often posted one sentenced post. My favorite was when this was her entire post, and yes I am copying the content of the post, minus the post layout:
"Use overheat again! ((-120 on Persian))
((That should be a KO))
And she complains about her "best friend's" lack of content, and everyone else's.
Her next issue was us telling her to shorten her post layout. I mind you, I currently screen capped one of her posts with her entire layout, with one of her shorter posts, and it took me three full screen caps to get the entire post. So the captain PMed her and asked her to shorten it, remove someone of the multitude of pictures, or if she could just use a spoiler. I have read that post, and she was rather professional on her wording and tone of the PM, and what does Mary do? She goes public, posting in the Questions, Comments, and Concerns forum, and demanded us to explain why she asked her why she needed to shorten her posts, and dumb down all of the content. After dealing with that, having to do it publically after having been offline for at least 12 hours, and knowing everyone would have seen it. We explained we merely asked her to shorten her layout, not content. That was quite a few months ago, and she still made a comment on it a week or two ago, how "hard" it was to post such a "dumbed down" and "idiotic" post to make the apparent guild requirement, and everyone's low level of roleplaying.
Mary's favorite thing to bring up, only in the PMs so no one else can see, is that every single person on Gaia says we are the most aggressive, rude, vain, conceded, and worst guild owners, and that every single member personally went out of their way to PM her and tell her how bad we are, when we have a close relation ship with he majority of all of the members he was listing and throwing under the bus. When we informed her she was lying, that we know them and hold the same opinion on her as we did, and frankly had been asking us to do something about it. Heh, rather interesting hmm? A day after this happened, he decided to try and add me as a friend on Gaia. I kindly denied that request.
Next issue is another old one. She never understands that what our characters do reflects how we feel, and yet her character is allowed to "know things about our characters" that are really us, the roleplayers. She got mad when my character didn't know what "Gynophobia" meant, which is the fear of women, when she "clearly explained it 3-4 times" but to other characters, and within her character's thoughts. She also was butt hurt about what one of my characters said, and my character Jade is a very rude and rash being, and she took it out on me what that character thought about the famous character. My favorite is when her male character suddenly fell in love with mine after "looking past his long lashes" and suddenly changed her character's sexual orientation to bisexual, and was thoroughly aghast, and offended when I didn't do the same with my character, throwing out to everyone that I was against her character. She often made things very public, by quoting us and asking why we target her and hate her.
Finally, the last straw. Are you ready?
So, this all happened this morning. As I noted in the first post, that she had deemed the guild officially the "third" worse guild in all of Gaia, when it actually was one of the very first original guild of its type on all of gaia, being 7 years old (having it passed down to us when the past owners couldn't manage it any more due to time). She told us how we are the most unoriginal, stupid, and pointless guilds on Gaia, and when we brought up her quitting, she threw a temper tantrum in the guild claiming we asked her to quit. Here's the kicker, After making a big deal on how horrible it is, guess who stole and ripped off our guild within another roleplay and guild?
Apparently he told another member that he had permission to use all of the info in this one, and take all of the system and stats and what not, and suckered her into roleplaying in this guild for a more private roleplay, lets call her Sally. Well, luckily for us, Sally just copied and pasted her latest post, and went from there. Well she forgot to take out the quoting and accidently quoted all of us to it. We all looked at it, and decided it was literally the last straw. The Captain PMed her, and Sally, about it and she responded apologetically and told us the situation. In his response, he wrote in all caps screaming, and asking why she accuse her of such horrendous acts, and told us to look through all of her forum activity. The Captain responded with a link to the guild, and told her that all of our info and system was copy righted, and it was, and suddenly, her tone changed and she deleted *almost* everything on the page that could be linked to the guild. Luckily I knew that would happen and screen capped the thievery, and held the proof. Soon after she sent a screaming and size 24 font temper tantrum demanding we give her an apology for all of the abuse and targeting we subjected her to, and how we falsely accused her of stealing, and linked to the now edited page. How ever, her roleplay partner hasn't been back online to edit her posts, and he wasn't even crew in the guild so that was counter productive, leaving her post the same. Frankly, rather than having a public war, we merely PMed her about it, and as of Tuesday Aug 20, 2013 2:11 am, she was banned. I am readying a post for a rouge boulder, or attack, to go astray and kill him.
*sigh* I know that did seem very rash, aggressive, and unprofessional but I really needed to get it all out. Frankly I think I did alright, none of you know who Mary, Gary, or Sally is, nor will I leak their user names, but I apologize if that seemed rude or offended anyone. That was not my intention. I was just ranting to blow off steam, and let everyone know about the horrors of Mary. If you made it this far, I thank you for reading, it warms my heart someone cares : ) I wouldn't mind answering questions, comments, and concerns about this girl, or the experience. I would also love to hear about your horror stories about your experiences. Again thank you again for reading. I'm going to go watch TV and eat a well deserved cookie.

Thank you, I don't know why she took it for so long, but we're keeping an eye on the subforums, waiting for a back lash or something. But that we can handle.
I'm so glad you think so! I was hopping I wasn't to blunt while talking about Mary, and half way through I thought I was starting to sound like the aggressive captain she was making me sound razz Yea, I really don't like her, but I don't want her to get attacked by people on here. I know how persistent people are on the internet haha.
