I would suggest you talking to someone, that you really trust, about this. Do not keep it to yourself, you will just bottle it up and eventually it will get a lot worse than it actually is.
Thoughts of suicide are very serious and there are a lot of suicide hotlines you can call to get help. If you really love your friends, you wouldn't have these thoughts of cutting/killing yourself. Think about your friends and your family, things will get better if you just think positive, and keep telling yourself things will get better. You didn't really say much about what is causing your freak outs or what's causing you to want to cut yourself...So I don't really know how to help you, and I'm not sure how old you are.
If you need to talk, I can try my best to help, sweetie. Hope things get better for you.

Im 16, and the reason i have panic attacks is cuz i have an extreme fear of being yelled at or getting in trouble. It all started back when i started to fail my classes and my dad threatened to send me to four winds or another nearby mental institution. I became so afraid that i would be taken away but the thought made me react badly and i actually passed out. Sometimes bad thoughts just creep into my mind like "maybe all my 'friends' are just there to make me feel better about myself and dont really care about me." Which sends me into a panic attack. Then of course i get to school the next day and theyre all over me since im all upset. I have panic attacks when people adk me "whats wrong" or "whats going on gabby, why are you upset?" And those words make me freak out.

And those words make me freak out. Most of the medicines that are out there to help decrease panic/anxiety attacks, do not help and most of the time mental institutions are just a waste of money. They just make you want to pretend that you are feeling better so that you can get out, then you go back to the same way you were before. You have to, have to, have to stop thinking like that if you want to get better. Try to think of a positive outcome, tell yourself that your friends love you, and would never want to hurt you in any way, shape or form. If you mostly only freak out after someone asks you what's wrong, that's normal, lol. It's like...a shaken up soda can XD then someone opens it and all of the contents explode everywhere. Lol, I know that was kinda cheesy but the only way you are going to be able to control it, is to take control. Ignore what people say, take a deep breath, count to ten. Everyone has different methods of getting over panic attacks. If your father really wants to help you, tell him to take you to a physician. They can diagnose you and recommend things that you can do to get over it, based on your lifestyle. If you have insurance, it should cost little to nothing to go see some one, only if that is the route that you want to take. If you do want to, talk to your father about it, and look up physicians available in your city. OR you can also Google strategies that people use when they feel a panic attack coming on, and I'm sure there are about a billion different kinds. Everyone has their own way of calming themselves down, you just have to figure out yours.

You're his daughter. You need to talk to him about it. If you really need to go back, you need to tell him. Make him listen, and I'm sure he will find a way to help you.

Hmmmmm...well there might be an alternative. Do you have a journal? Write what you are feeling in there everyday, and it might help.
