Basic Information
The weapon is based off of the colt 1911, but more or less resembles the Mk.23 in many ways. It is a relativley large gun, at 12.5 inches long, yet only has a 6 inch barrel. The weapon fires the most powerful commercially available round, the .500 S&W, somewhat unnecessarily.
Each magazine is over a pound, and carries 12 of the .50 inch round- the entire magazine is about 8.5 inches in length, and sticks far past the hand grip. It sports a 1911 safety style grip, with a relativley light trigger pull, although heavy enough to avoid issues.
The weapon is more or less based off of the Mk.23, sporting a similar design. It is heavy, large, and carries and oversized H&K recoil buffer designed to reduce recoil by about 30%. As well, it has an oversized muzzle break, similar to the one found on the .500 S&W revolver, although somewhat larger. The weapon also has a much larger hydraulic recoil buffer in the back of the weapon, a rubberized rough impact gel handgrip, a specifically ergonomically designed handguard and a system designed to reduce the recoil even more by spreading out the loud over a farther area of space. Still, the weapon has considerable recoil, far more than a .45 even from the Mk. 23 and other heavy guns.
The weapon has a massivley over sized hand guards, to allow either both hands when firing or massive gloves when in use (or both).
The weapon has a heavy, stainless steel chrome plated frame and a cobalt chrome polygonal barrel, as well as some other cobalt chrome pieces. The barrel has a 10 groove right hand turn twists at 1: 18.75 inch turn. Due to the high PSI of the round (50,000 PSI) the weapon has a tendency to wear out quickly. The weapon needs barrel and some internal part replacements around every 10,000 rounds, in order to stay in top functioning condition.
Due to it's size the weapon is hard to conceal or keep in inconvenient locations. In that way the weapon is best carried openly, either on the hip or on the chest in a specifically designed holster. Due to it's weight and the weight of it's magazine is definitely not a trivial weapon to carry, in addition to it's power and recoil.
Still, it is one of the most powerful commercially available pistols, more powerful than a .30-06, and can take down a bear at roughly 200 yards with a single shot to the torso- this weapon has 12 rounds and can be reloaded relativity quickly due to it's magazine.
The weapon is not for the meek. It's hand guard is an ultra-thin ribbed stain-less still composite alloy yet, it is still rather large, at around 2.3 inches around with the rubber and impact gel. It is relativley difficult to hold on to and fire becuase of this, and usually requires two hands.
