Interest Check :: Alternate System

Alright, so....

Since there seems to be a bit of interest, I will be making the system.
Any and all input is appreciated, as I will be posting in here with my ideas for it.

The first is whether to use the D&D Str - Cha, White Wolf's 3 category, or Marvel's FASERIP system for base stats.
If FASERIP, then I will be doing a 3d10 average roll.
Although the character are, in effect, Scion characters. So, the Scion system might be the most ideal.

Skills are yet to be determined. There are so many different kinds that I wouldn't be against letting the players choose 6 - 10 things to be above average in knowledge for.

Powers would need to be defined. There has to be limits and kryptonite.

Along with some kind of rewards system.

For the sake of trying to define it, you have otherworldly powers.
Most will probably be coming from objects (like the Scion relics)

But no, you are not the children of gods/goddesses.

No.
Whether you get your power through an object, through training, or through innate ability is completely up to you.
I was just trying to say that one usually uses a weapon of some sort to channel energy/powers.

Some people might not even have powers. They would be relying on items, in such a case.

You have to be careful of the marvel system since it is easy as hell to break.

When another forum I visited we noted how (hunts down thread to see what house rules we made) the lines experience system is retardedly slow so the gm handed out upgrade points as experience, we modified the ranged attack system since it was hugely underpowered.

Unless you just want to use the character creation system to outline how powerful our people are and free form it from there.

My old character for an example though he does have extra experience and we started with 60 points to spend.

Alexander Cromwell has lived for over 1500 years and has taken part in many wars and seen the death of many loved ones. He has seen the horrors the human race can do in times of war without persecution it isn't surprising his dreams go untouched by these horrors. So much so he sleeps with his halberd within arms reach for comfort.



Costume:
Head: Matte black German Sallet.
Torso & Arms: Black robe with brass details, Matte black breastplate and Red tabard
worn underneath the breastplate.
Legs: Upper leg armour and Black steel toe capped boots.
Hands: Matte Black gauntlets.
Weapon: Indestructible Matte Black Halberd +8
Armour: +5 & Indestructible. Ap negation.

I just don't have the time to make a new system right now.
