- protestors with a giant picture of Jesus and a sign that says REPENT
- a man in a hot pink tutu
- a blow-up doll being carried around on someone's shoulders
- a fight
- a police van sloooowly navigating through a sea of drunks


Btw, you guys not in the states. They're celebrating Mardi Gras, a Catholic holiday that encourages followers to revel in sin and excess until Wednesday, whereupon they must promptly begin to fast and observe Lent until Easter.

Yes, I swear to you this is Catholic.


What did YOU see on the camera?

You've got to experience it Louisiana someday. Though truthfully, it's only *really* like... that... in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Just about everywhere else it's only a small parade and a street carnival put on by local social groups and whatever zydeco band they can find for cheap. xd

I feel like a creeper watching these people from across the country. Trying to see what they're doing.

Man, what a difference a day makes. Now the streets are so quiet you can hear the zydeco band playing in the other bar. There are even a few families with kids wandering around. ^^
