Kojiro would sigh as he collapsed back down against the building. Right now, he really wanted to rummage through Denbe's kit and use the tea set to make some tea right now. Maybe he'd be better able to take the quest in front of him if he had some real food in his belly and the scent of tea relaxing his mind. Tea and Dango would hit the spot right now. Kojiro wondered if the place his father talked about in Toshi Aitate still existed. Who knew with the wars that went on back and forth. Something he might have to check up on later, if he survived.
As it stood, Kojiro didn't really want to deal with Kitsuki or Kaiu right now, and attempted to meditate to regain a section of his inner reserve back, regardless of how probable it might be.

"Until we what? Prepare for what-? Ahn... I fear I cannot solve this riddle..." her pleas fell upon deaf ears, and she was left to hang her head in defeat once again.
How could they prepare for something they hadn't even the slightest idea about? Well, ironically she had the same idea as the Scorpion. If she could recover from the complete exhaustion of her spells and inner reserves, she might be able to stand against whatever was coming next. Assuming it wasn't as strong as their first opponent.
Masuyo found a quiet corner and began to meditate as well.

Unable to find any measure of peace, Kojiro had thought of slamming his cheap kabuto into the ground and then shedding the worthless armor he wore, tossing aside the katana and wakazashi given to fodder bushi when the need for bodies overwhelmed the clan, and taking off the simple mask that served more to catch sweat and keep the sun off of his head than disguise anything.
....but no. As much as he wanted to, he was a shinobi....at least as far as the other reading of the characters meant. He endured his childhood, either amongst indifferent relatives or in fear as the spirit armies made their rampage across Rokugan. He endured the commands of his lord, which ordered him not to marry his beloved or yet his child hood friend, but instead a shrill and shrewish icequeen. He endured his assignment as a Jade Warden.
He would endure, even though there were no rewards, only more duty and the ever real punishment of failure. And even then he would endure. The Scorpion Clan wished all of their bushi to be Shinobi, and so be it.
Gently, Kojiro took off his Kabuto and angled it so that he might use it as a form of pillow. He then took off his mask and tried to place it on the helmet top so that it would be atleast soft. After that, he took off his armor, sighing audibly when the rents made in the suit by Matsusuke caught his skin or his kimono.
Still, he managed to get the thing off and attempted to position himself for sleep. The Cultists would come soon enough and he *might* fair better if he were well rested this time.

It is Midday by now, and still lunchtime if you like to have your lunch late.
Kojiro tries to settle his mind, but the aches of his body prevent him from finding his center. Instead, he decides to tend to his body and let rest aid him in recovering.
Masuyo has had better luck finding a balance within herself, and regains 2 void points.
Kagae, you went off exploring. What are you up to during all this time?

Kaiu Kagae, all traces of any intruders or invaders in "your city" are gone by the time you reach them, if they were ever there at all. Your armor isn't exactly quiet, you're doing this circuit by yourself, and it's a lot of ground to cover, especially since you've... customized a lot of the main roads.
You will get back around the time Kitsuki Masuyo finishes her meditations. It looks like Bayushi Kojiro is trying to sleep.
It will be soon after lunchtime at this point, once everything is said and done.

Kojiro would get up, look at the sky and shrug. He would then go and find one of his rations to eat, setting a little aside for Fubuki and then attempt to go back to bed.

Still quite lost and confused (but at least a lot more centered), and with really nothing else to do, Masuyo also broke out some of her dwindling rations and took lunch.
