Darcy was a very sick child and this made him extremely depressed for a while. He was a humble soul and took nothing for granted. He was quick to tears and had the ability to empathize with anyone on any situation. When he was introduced by his parents to his new friends he smiled more often. Enjoyed life more. He played what he could considering he was in a wheel chair. When his fiancee came into his life he became extremely sweet. He loved that girl with his whole heart and still does.
Then he changed. He became violent, stronger and considerably more controlling. He lashed out at anyone and anything including his parents. The events leading up to his death only served to anger him more. Then she died...He changed once more. Forever silent. Forever mourning the loss though he knew she was still with him. He can never forgive himself for what happened.

Cassia is an incredibly sweet girl. She can never hold anything against anyone. She has the ability to make anyone smile, except for herself it seems. Knowing she's a ghost, she's become rather depressed. It's hard for her to accept that no one is missing her and that she'll never be the same again. But she would never blame her fiance for that. It was completely out of his control. Of course, now he is miserable. It makes her so sad to see the boy sh'es in love with so upset.

Hanabi is very quiet at first, and may appear shy, but that's only because she doesn't know how to approach other people. Once you get her to open up, she becomes a very sarcastic person. She isn't sarcastic all the time, though. She does know how to be sympathetic. She tends to laugh at all of the wrong moments, and she jokes quite a bit. Hanabi believes in hard evidence; if she can't see it, then she won't believe it. She's a hard worker, and if she doesn't understand something, she will go to all lengths to understand it, even if it may not be beneficial to her.

Penn used to be a super happy kid. He had lots of great friends in the choir and the village. He was the golden boy that made everyone but himself happy. Then his death happened. If that was it Penn would still be happy, up where ever life after death is. But no, is stuck in this house. The longer he stays the more depressed he gets. Now he really can't stop crying. His cheeks seem to have permanent tear stains and his eyes feel like they are on fire. But Penn is just so damn unhappy. He sticks to his best friend, Darcy, hoping maybe he can just be sent on. You rarely see him without his friend, because he fears if he leaves his side he'll miss his chance at moving on.
