...Black People. o.0 (Hoping I don't start some bad drama with this)
Random, I know, but still...I kind of don't know how to respond to this.
I mean...we were just driving in one of the more African-American populated areas of our state (GA) and my mom got pissed because she kept getting cut off, wouldn't be allowed to switch lanes and such. From there it went like this.
Mom (angry): I hate black people.
Me (surprised and confused): Mom...are you a racist?
Mom: Yes!
Me (hesitating): But what about 'friend1' and 'friend2?' They are both black and you told me you like them!!
Mom: 'friend1' and 'friend2' and their families are exceptions but they are actually respectful of others!

I kind of just fell silent at that point because I just didn't know what to say to all that. I mean...she's my mom and she's just admitted to me that she's a racist and I have black friends! What the hell do I say to her about this? I'm kind of hoping she was just having Road Rage for a minute!

it kind of sounds like your mom hates people who are disrespectful to others since friends 1 and 2 were exceptions to her racist attitude.....

"disrespectful to others" which being black people? O yeah, she hates black people, except for 1 or two tho, so that's totally okay even tho she just said that she hates black people. That means that she hates her black friends too, because she hates the totality of black people.
And having black friends doesn't excuse the racism.
