I'll go first! 4laugh

This actually happened to my mom when she was little, like around 6 or so.
She used to live alone as a child, on a ranch in Mexico.
Well everyday she would visit her elder sisters during the day and during the night she would walk back home alone.
Every time she went home walking, an elderly lady who wore a dark veil would come and walk my mother home.
The lady would walk her to the gate at the front of the ranch and watch my mother until my mom entered the house.
One day one of her sisters asked her if the could walk my mom home at night.
'Cause it was getting dangerous for kids to be out late.
My mom declined and said she never walked home alone because a lady always came and walked with her.
My aunts looked at each other surprised and asked how the lady looked.
My mom responded that she couldn't see very well since it was always dark out when she met her, but that she could see that the lady had dark curly hair that was waist length.
My aunts looked at each other surprised and said to my mom to be careful on her way home.
That night my mother met again with the lady.
She walked along with her and my mom was looking around when she noticed that the lady wasn't walking.
My mom asked her "Why don't your feet touch the floor when you walk?"
The lady responded, "Because I walk much faster this way..."
"Why are you always walking with me?" she asked her.
And the lady responded," Because I love you."
They continued walking and my mom reached the gate of her house.
The next day my aunts asked my mom if the lady had walked her home again.
My mom smiled and nodded.
They asked if the lady had spoken to her and if she had noticed anything weird about the lady.
Again my mom nodded but she began to get confused.
One of my aunts pulled an old picture from her purse and as she showed it to my mom, she said "Did she look like this lady?"
My mom took the picture from my aunt and asked where she got the picture and who the lady was.
My aunts looked at each other sadly and said, "That's our mom...
She died when you were one..."

I got a scary story, this happened to my dad when he was seven.

We're Native American, so when dad was little he lived on the Reservation.
One night, my grandpa got really drunk, they were at his brothers house, drinking. At 2AM, it was time to leave. My dad helped his father stagger out into the fresh winter snow, it was in flurries.
They were going to my dad's grandma's house, she had passed away in the summer, when he was six.
When they got to the house, it was locked. My dad's hand was small, so he put his hand through the torn screen and opened the door. The house was cold and dark, the furniture was still there.
My dad guided his father to the couch, the old man was ready to pass out any moment. He laid him down and took his cowboy boots off, after that his father was passed out, he covered him with blanket that was on the couch.

He went to the kitchen, it was cold inside the house, no electricity or heat. A kerosene lamp was on the table, it had oil, he lit it with the matches on the table. The light was bright and illuminated the room.
Not long after he lit it, there was a sound from the basement. It started as a thump, that sounded like a heavy foot taking a step. He listened, then another loud thump, the sound continued. By this rate he ran over to his dad trying to wake him up.
My dad told me, "the funny thing about a person who passed out from drinking, is that you can't wake them up. You can slap, punch, hit, pull their hair, and they won't wake up."
Nothing worked, and the sound was getting closer. He jumped on his dad, and squeezed between him and the couch.
While he laid there, the sound was a few steps away from the landing. Each step was louder, and the closer it got, it made the lamp dimmer.
Now on the last step, the lamp was about to go out. A long pause followed, and the thing turned around, and went back down stairs. With each step, the lamp grew brighter.
My dad say's he fell a sleep after words.

He went back to the house, when he was older. By this time he his aunt lived there. And the thing, whatever it was, was still there. My dad said he thought it was his grandma's energy, maybe? (They did have her funereal in that basement.) But whatever it was, he heard it again as a man, and this time he investigated the basement, there was nothing there, just a normal Rez basement.
