Hello people I'm new to this guild! smile I've always been curious to know what other people think of the Great Mushroom War. In short, I believe the war was humans vs rainicorns/dogs and the humans released nuclear bombs on them, but they ended up killing themselves instead.

I thought Marceline was like over a thousand years old. I also think the creatures of Ooo came from the nuclear fallout since no one really knows about humans except the rainicorns who could have been living in the crystal dimension.

Everyone always says they wanna have a nuclear war so we could all be like adventure time people...-_- I don't don't think I would want to end up as Susan though...0_0

Anyways, The rainicorns proabaly lived in the crystal dimension while the humans were still alive. Dogs could have found out about this and started to rebel against their human masters so they all ran away to fight the rainicorns over the crystal dimension. Humans proabaly didn't want this so we try to kill them with nuclear bombs. Go humans...-_-

The humans had to be alive to some extent. How else would Finn be alive?
And while the thing with the Ice King suggests a lot and should not be overlooked, in the episode where Finn and Jake hide in Marcelene's clost, at the very start Finn speaks a chant for their version of hide and seek. A chant that just so happens to directly reference the Mushroom Wars.
I think that the crown in the reason the Ice King survived, but most likely did not directly effect the war.
I personally think the lich might have had something to do with the wars.
The episode where he possesses PB, he asks Finn for some supplies.
He brings her things such as bleach, gasoline, and toxic items like that. Among them was Plutonium, a highly radioactive substance.
And the crown, having existed before the war, could also mean other supernatural things existed, like perhaps a lich.

MY THEORY FOR HOW FINN SURVIVED:
Finns parents probably hid underground in a cave or somewhere where the blast of the explosion of the bombs that went off werent felt and they had no idea when the war would be over and stayed down there until they absolutely had to go out to get food.( they could have started eating stuff that already lived in the cave to start off with and then ran out). By this time the war was over and things were changing. Plants started to grow back and the survivors started to recolonize. Finns parents might have wandered out of the cave trying to find someone to care for their newborn child since they knew they werent going to survive in their hungry weakened state. They saw Jakes parents walking around and figured that may be the only chance they had for finn to survive. so they set him on the ground and ran off, soon afterwards to die.
MY THEORY FOR THE LAND OF OOO:
After most of the humans were dead after the war, any surviving animals or people of the war may have had mutations.(eg. horses slowly grew horns in the middle of their head and in later generations they gained the ability to fly and do magic.This made the rainicorns.) since most animals in the show look like animals that actually exist. They were probably able to do magic since they became more spiritual and less selfish and gained powers( Thats why rainicorns fly and why jake stretches) and they taught their children to use these powers and passed the magic down from one generation to the next. they all accepted each other and lived along side each other. Thats how pretty much everyone (except the rainicorns who may have started off in the crystal dimension where korean may be the main language) learned the same language.
MY THEORY FOR THE RAINICORNS VS DOGS/ RAINICORNS EATING SOY PEOPLE:
I think that what happened with the rainicorns and dogs was that a short time after the great mushroom war, the dogs vs rainicorns war started and since it would have been a short time after humans died off ,(except Finn,Simon,Finns parents, and Marceline) there were probably bodies still laying around, and the rainicorns could eat those bodies if they were short on food. Lady rainicorns dads father was in the war and didnt look too old in the picture of him and the dog that saved him so i think that ladys dad was either born after the war, or at the end and was put in the crystal dimention with the other rainicorns that werent fit to fight in the war were put so theyd be safe. By the end, all or most of the humans bodies were eaten or destroyed from the dog vs rainicorn war. And his father probably told him stories from the war about eating the bodies and saying how good they tasted. But since no bodies were left to eat afterwards, they could have made soy humans that taste like humans and then the rainicorns could still enjoy that humany flavor.Just like how vegetarians have soy burger...although i have no idea if they taste like actual burgers cause ive never had soy lol.
