 Corvinus stretched his legs and shook his coat out. How long had it been? It seemed like forever since he had left the family lodgings, so much had been going on with the household and blood lines, he hasn't had a chance to leave until now. He yawned and looked around, enjoying the peace the not having the family around.
He loved his family, never doubt that for a moment, but sometimes, even the stoic Corvinus needed his space. And now he was enjoying it. He lazily wandered over the lush green hill, not too far from the kitsu HQ, he idly hoped he would meet someone he knew from way back when, or even someone new to distract him from life.

 The morning had signaled this would be an amazing day, just warm enough, perfect for sunbathing. And although he tried to tell himself to keep moving, not to lay down for even a minute, it was just too difficult. Batujiwe had only woken up an hour or so before he laid back down to sleep again atop a rock in the middle of a clearing. The sun baked the stone that covered his skin in just the right way, keeping him warm and cozy through the rest of the morning. It wasn't until the sun was much higher in the sky and the day more than half gone that he finally opened his eyes again. Groaning lightly, he tried to lift his head from his paws only to find it a bit heavier than usual. Oh no, he had done it again. His curse had flared up in his laziness and although the stone certainly hadn't made itself as heavy as it could, it was still pretty noticeable.
Grumbling now, he used the strength he had been born with to peel himself away from the sunning rock and back down into the grass. This day would prove very uncomfortable unless he could find something to reverse the curse and ease all this extra weight. He couldn't even properly shake out his fur.
As he began moving in the direction of the HQ, wondering if there would be someone around he could help in order to appease the curse, he saw a figure moving over the hill at his side. Blinking, he turned and tossed his head to rid the ruffled hair from his vision so his good eye could catch a glimpse. It was no one he recognized.

Corvinus stopped in his tracks and watched the stone covered kitsu curiously. He approached, his head tilted to the side in curiosity. "Hello there." he said in melodic yet strong, and commanding voice. "Its too beautiful a day out to not enjoy it" he said conversationally. He felt the need to state the obvious wasn't required. Surely this fellow knew he was covered in rocks, if not he would be more frantic. "I would say I haven't seen you before, but I have been away for a while dealing with family business, so I fear I have lost contact with who's around and who isn't" he said with a subtle nod.

What? He was coming this way. Batujiwe's ears flickered back as he watched the figure move closer. Although, it was probably better this way. His body was already growing tired again. He only vaguely moved, shuffling his clawed forepaws, when the other male began to speak.
"Uh... hello," he responded, thinking he must surely sound foolish. It had been a long time since someone had greeted him so normally and without mentioning his appearance, as well. "It is a nice day." Nice enough to sleep away most of it on a sunning rock. "I just, uh, woke up from a nap." He didn't even have a chance to fall back on sarcasm like he usually did. This Kitsu was rather disarming. Considering the other for a moment longer, he barely shook his head enough to be noticeable. It was easier not to move it, since he could already feel his cheek wanting to flop to the right. "No, I don't think we've met..." Of course, he didn't admit that he had met so few others that it was easy to tell. "I'm Batujiwe."

Corvinus gave a formal bow of introduction "it's an honor to meet you Batujiwe. My name is Corvinus" he said as he introduced himself. He watched the other male closely, taking note of little changes in his stance and movements. "I believe a nap does the soul good. Would you like to join me for a walk, I'm curious to see what's changed.?" he was curious about what had changed since the last time he had been here, but more so he felt the rocky male needed to get in motion. Of course he would never say that to someone he just met, but it was a hunch. Batujiwe reminded him of his sister Carrara, she too needed to be pushed sometimes. Or most of the time in her case..

A nap doing the soul good? Maybe. But in his experience, ever since the curse, naps had the potential to do the body bad. Well, in all honesty, it was only when he was being extremely lazy. Too bad Batujiwe had such a hard time keeping his work ethic up. "Mm, a walk..." He seemed to be contemplating for a moment. The thought of moving around with all the weight was somewhat off-putting, but at the same time he realized it might even be enough to put him back into the gods good graces. All in all, he supposed he didn't have anything to lose. "That... sounds nice." He said, nodding slightly, and his head bobbed a bit more than it should as he tried to balance the weight. "But uh, I'm not much of a tour guide, so I hope you can remember your way around." A slight grin stretched his lips for the first time, although it seemed slightly strained. Rolling his shoulders, he looked to be preparing to move again.

Corvinus nodded softly "I have a fair idea of where to go, if we stray off course, it will just be an adventure" he said with a light nod of his head, a faint grin on his maw. He waited patiently for the rocky male to gather his momentum, and when he was ready, slowly treaded towards a path through the woods. His tails swayed softly "do you have family here? Or are you a wanderer?" he asked softly, being mindful to try not bring up a sore spot.
