From the get go Davith was thrown into the world of combat and religion, being born only a fortnight from the city of Neverwinter, he and his father both took trips to the city and trained with the other Paladins there. Life seemed to be straight forward for Davith until the inevitable happened. The day of his sixteenth birthday, Davith finally had built up the courage to stand up to his father and tell him the path he wanted to follow. Davith wished to just become a soldier; not a Paladin. These words stung his father but he could see the want in his sons eyes to serve Neverwinter. With his consent he allowed it and Davith made his way up through the army of Neverwinter. This had a turn for the worst though, on the month of Davith reaching the rank of Lieutenant and taking control of his own platoon of men, he was sent word that shook him to the core. His home had been ransacked by an unknown foe, his mother killed and his father no where to be found. This made Davith crack; He resigned from the army and went straight back home. The sight of the carnage was almost too hard for him to bare as he came across the body of his mother ravaged and almost torn limb from limb. The only thing Davith could find of his fathers was his fathers Warhammer laying in the rubble by a huge puddle of blood. After a full candlemark of thrashing and breaking things to the point his fists were bloodier than the floor around him, he took up his mothers body and buried it under the huge redwoods that dotted his land around his home. This time he sealed the home off with iron bars reinforcing the doors and locking it away so it couldn't be disturbed he rode away; heading south for the Mere, leading himself into self appointed exile.
That day Davith was twenty-two and it has been ten years since that horrific attack and Davith has found no sign of his father. Now Davith has taken up the Hammer as a Paladin of St. Cuthbert for Davith vowed for Retribution against they who killed his mother. Username: Oathkeeper_Hikaru
Character Name: Raine Levit'aas Morrowind ( ninja )
Race: Elf
Class: Paladin
Age: 23
Height: 5' 8''
Weight: 178 lbs.
Sex: Female

Biography:
Most elves are not born to fight for power, nor do they fight for sheer battle. But Raine, even from a young age, had a different aire about her that seperated her from other young girls. She liked danger, braved fears that other children could not. And yet, it did not make her brash or spiteful. She was well-behaved and mindful of her peers. It was more like...a pure determination and strong sense of justice that steered her decisions true. Many asusmed her to be quite mature for her young age.
Once she was old enough to hold her own, a mere fourteen years old at the time, Raine began training under the hunters of her group, learning to wield lightweight weapons and getting acquainted with combat through hunting trips in the Neverwinter Woods. Plenty of people thought it was odd for a girl to perfer hunting over magic, but no one really questioned it. They had known Raine and her capabilities, and thought it would suit her best. With diligence, she actually began to fit in quite well among the other warrior men, and could do her fair share. It was strange, seeing as she was perhaps one of the very few female elves of her village, in all their history, to become a fighter. She thought nothing of it though. To her, the sense of anticipation, the moments before a battle, holding a bow or rapier in her hand... It made her feel complete. And without it, Raine just didn't have the same sort of purpose to her life.
So, as she grew older, many of the younger children after her saw her as an inspiration. They would call her "Lady Raine" or even "Lady Levi" out of admiration. Despite being a battle-toughened woman, she was a kind and motherly character that was greatly welcomed. No elf could speak ill of her. She, along with the other able-bodied men, had always done well to protect and serve their village in the peace times.
But the trees rustled with unease, and it echoed clearly.
Sensing the restlessness overcoming the Wood, Raine made it her duty to seek out what ailed her people and bring them peace again. She traveled to the far edges of the Neverwinter Wood, finding only the occasional danger here and there, but nothing that simply screamed 'evil'. So, much to her dismay, Raine had to leave the sanctuary of her home territory, and followed her instincts to find this terror that even lingered in her heart.
As she neared civilization, not even that far out of the wood, grand gossip of the king's decree reached her ears quickly. "Those of you out there who wish to uphold the peace and steady nature of our lands are, by decree, summoned to the grounds of proving within the outskirts of the grand city of Neverwinter for a challenge. Those of you that survive this event shall be awarded with an audience with myself and my military advisers for a special meeting."
That was exactly what she had wanted. So, ready to seek out what the King was offering, Raine made her way to the west, to Neverwinter and its proving grounds.
Gear:
Raine carries a single weapon with her. She has never needed multiple weapons, nor does she find it necessary to carry more than one. A real fighter can make do with one trusty weapon. And for her, that is her silver sword. Forged with adamantite, a metal that can attract magic energy, it is a sturdy and intricate sword that can channel power. Custom-made for her, it is a sword that can also fold in half for more convienient carrying.
She's not a strong believer in armor, since it is just another weight to deal with, and more often does harm than good. Her one shoulder piece is all the armor she currently wears, and it's only for the fact that it is a magic enhancing piece.
Abilities:
Now, in true elven tradition, all descendants would be versed in magic, communing with nature on a more acute level than humans and other various races. And, that could have been said about Raine as well. However, she chose not to completely steer towards her magical ancestry.
Being more of a fighter than a mage, Raine only knows very basic magic. And as a paladin, her magic is more supportive than offensive. Though most of her kind would be better considered as rangers, her strong sense of justice, as well as her preference for close-ranged combat, puts her in more of the paladin class. She can use standard warping spells and some minor healing magic, even a little bit of bare basic elemental spells (thunder, fire, water, etc.), but has not quite mastered summons and holy-elemental abilities yet since she's still quite new as a full-fledged paladin.
Aside from combat skills, Raine is also talented at horseback riding and archery. She is resourceful in the field, able to forage for food and navigate with precision in the wild.
