"I Love You More Than I Could Ever Scream." "Sometimes I really hate this place" Duke thought to himself while he took a drag on his cigarette, he tried to focus on the smoke that swirled between his fingers as he played with it but to much was on his mind. Waiting for the bar tender to serve their drinks the wait was due to the usual crowded tavern, the people in this place always fit the atmosphere and something in this place made you feel comfortable with things you wish you weren't. Duke was becoming impatient from having to wait so long to make a deal with a guy who might not even be buying what he's selling, a sword he stole earlier that day. His eyes shot a narrow glance, "Your not going to take no for an answer, are you Duke?" Asmodeus (the Devil) whispered, his voice echoed through Duke's head. "I'd rather not hear him reject my offer but if he says no I'll just have to kill him for all he's got. I wont let some idiot waste my time for me to walk away empty handed and if blood is shed I wont be the one cleaning it." He thought so only Asmodeus could hear him. Emilia could clearly see Duke was talking to him and not fully focused on the smoke that circled his fingers anymore. A few more moments had passed and Duke was done waiting. He needed to think of another option to make profit for today or dinner tonight wouldn't be a possibility. He kept his cool and the drinks arrived. "Finally" He muttered while he snuffed out his cigarette on his arm, paying no mind to the heat. He sipped his drink and his eyes kept shifting throughout the room, locking onto people he thought would be easy targets. He always looked over at Emilia to see if she approved of his picks. She always kept Duke on track and if she didn't Asmodeus was always quick to. "He must have bailed.." he muttered after downing the rest of his drink "I'm done waiting for a fool, we'll just hunt him down later and show em what happens when you waste our time" Duke furiously crushed the glass in his hand, you could even see his veins popping out of his fist. The glass cut into his palm, blood shed, but what else would have happened? His cool grey eyes started to show tints of red, his teeth were clenched together, sometimes wrath really is a sin. Anger was something he couldn't control and it would only get worse as long as Asmodeus was around. He wondered if Emilia knew how high his anger had spiked in such a short period of time. He wondered if she was scared to see him like this.

i fight for justice ⇨⇨ does that make me LAWFUL?xxxxi do not fight for evil ⇁⇁⇁ so that must mean i'm GOOD.xxxxx░░▒▒▓▓█████████████████ ☷ ❃ ☷ ████████████████████▓▓▒▒░░ x Who is to say [ what is right ] & [ what is wrong ] ? x If I seek the t r u t h, I'll be strong. x May good intentions pave my path x and may a l l..e v i l s face my wrath. RAINE LEVIT'AAS MORROWIND [ e l fxxp a l a d i n ] She sat in peace, just sipping away at her water to calm her appetite for the time being. A soft fatigue washed over her, trying to win over her feelings. Though rest sounded heavenly at the moment, she had to resist the temptation. Diligence was key. If she could fight through the hunger, than rest could be staved off as well. Taking in a deep inhale of the less-than-desireable stench, Raine relaxed herself into an alert state-of-mind.
Calm... At peace.
She needed to be in order to face this upcoming trial.
The young elven woman had never gone and killed a man out of cold blood before. Just the idea of it felt like such a taboo where she grew up. There, the way of life had always been that killing was left for the hunt, not between men. Sure, she had slain men before—those that tried to bring harm to her loved ones deserved a swift and just death—but this became completely different. This competition was a fight of nothing but strength. Meaningless. And yet, no winner could be decided without deaths involved. Setting her emptied glass away, Raine lowered her head in a slight bow, pale pink locks barely resting on the countertop as she did so. Her fingers were already interlocked with one another gently. She was praying, praying for forgiveness for the deeds she was about to commit. Only fate could lead her true now as Raine willed this act to be for the better somehow.
As the fighters dispersed from the tavern, Raine calmly stood and joined their numbers. Men of all ages, heights, and builds followed her onto the scarred battlefield. She looked around questionably at first, watching the numbers disipate into groups. By default, when they signed her up, they marked her on the Neverwinter side. It made sense at the time, seeing as the woods were closer to the city than any other region on the sign-up sheets.
Walking up to the frontlines, surrounded by countless other warriors, Raine stood out in her womanly attire. 'Give me strength, my Lord, to pave my path to peace,' she wistfully prayed, grasping the handle of her sword in its sheath. Pulling it cleanly, the folded blade was drawn and given a sharp jerk, unfolding the two pieces until they quickly locked into place to take the form of her sword.
Ready for battle, Raine shifted her stance and prepared for a fight she wouldn't soon forget.

"I hope to live up to those legends one day...The elven blacksmiths like the others that take pride in their work forge only the best weapons. These were made for me when I became captain.", Ifrit drew his two swords, the quiet hum from the blades leaving the leather sheaths was a sweet sound to his ears. He twirled them in his hands to loosen his wrists a bit then stepped up next to Dannith, "I came here with the goal of restoring peace to the land and rid it of the evil that threatens it. If these men aren't apart of that evil then they shouldn't die, if they are mere obstalces in our path I say we make them quit...But if they are apart of the evil, then this shall be their final battle..."

╨♥♥♠ After an hour or two the wolve's dispersed one by one back to tho forrest. She put her flute down and made a little howlish noise as the last wolf exited the clearing, he made a small bark in return. She looked up through the trees to see the sun rising higher in the sky, it was getting warm. She took off her white cloak and the outer part of her robe, revealing a simple silvery gray tunic with some blue elven embroidery. Rellic never knew her true family, she called the wolves her family, but she knew she wasnt one of them (though somtimes she wishes she was). She got her clothes off of misfortunate travelers that never made it out of the forrest. She also managed to learned to speak human tounge by spying on travelers and listening to them, tho she never showed herself to them. ♣♥♠☺☻ She put her feet up on the rock, knees to her chest. Rellic sighed as she rested the side of her face on her knees, and curled her arms in front of her legs... She closed her eyes and the wind blew at her gently, as if to ask 'what was wrong?' . . "I think. .It's time for me to. . .leave the woods. .she my own kind.... just for a little while.. . " The wind blew a little stronger and made contact with the flute that was sitting on the rock. The wind played a summon song, and Rellic's large winged wolf appeared from the wind. He stood in front of her, facing her.. with his wings opened up gently enough, that the tips of the feathers elegantly touched the ground. His silver eyes looked at her with approval of her decision. Rellic look up at him and smiled, "you're always there for me, aren't you, Koe?" The wolf nodded, and somewhat smiled, as a spirit he showed much more expression then a normal wolf.♠♥♠♦♣ Soon she was packed and ready to go. She packed lightly, only taking what she could carry in a small bag a traveler had. She also took a small pouch of coins... somthing called "money". . .she didnt fully understand it... all she knew is that it was needed. She slung the bag over her shoulder and around her neck, tucked her flute gently into her sash and climbed up onto Koe, and sat on his shoulders. Koe's wings folded in to make himself more sleek and in a smooth swift motion he made is way out of the clearing the way the rest of the pack went.

She's a dwelling place for demons. She's a cage for every unclean spirit, every filthy bird, and makes us- ==== ☠ ==== ☠ ==== ☠ ==== Emilia sat at the table, her expression bored as usual. There was never much to do, while waiting for a customer. Her teal eyes glancing around at the others. Why was it today that they all chose to flock to the tavern? Maybe it was just one of those days. Those 'Screw life, give me a drink.' kind of days. She had those sometimes. Everyone did, but it was ironic to see just about everyone having them together. She shrugged it off though, pulling her arms from the large black cloak that surrounded her tiny frame, Emilia leaned onto the table, putting her chin in the nook of her arm. Looking up at Duke, she could tell exactly what he was thinking, or rather conversing. He was talking to him again. She narrowed her gaze. The girl knew she had no reason to be mad at Asmodeus, as a matter of fact if it weren't for him, Duke might of killed her for the little she had back how ever many years ago that was.
She couldn't really remember. It was so long ago, she was a stupid girl of fourteen years. Thinking she could get through life on her own, only to be smashed back down, hard. He saved her, even if he didn't really know that. "Thanks.." She said to the bar tender as he brought their drinks. Sitting back up, she wrapped her hand around the glass and downed it. Emilia followed the males gaze, latching on to certain people. Looking back to him, she scrunched up her nose in disapproval. Most of these folks probably had next to nothing. By judging it looked like most of them had sunk whatever they had into the tavern already.
Emilia put the empty glass down on the table as Duke spoke. She snorted at his response. "He's just an old man. They tend to be forgetful." She smirked. Emilia might of had a hard exterior, but she was more compassionate towards the human race as a whole. Despite how awful most treated her, she was just a sympathetic person. She jumped when he broke the glass. Putting a hand to her forehead she sighed. Reaching down into her pouch, she pulled out some wrapped cloth and a small vile. "Calm down before you make any more of a scene, we wouldn't want a relapse of what happened last time, do we?" She scowled before dabbing the cloth with some of the clear liquid. She grasped his hand, pulling it towards her. Pulling out all the glass, she quickly dabbed it. "This'll sting." She said already dabbing at the wounds. She wasn't scared to see Duke like this, as much as she was worried. Worried that one of these days, the anger would just take over, and not let go. Once she had got most of the blood gone, she tore a piece of cloth off the hem of her cloak and wrapped it around his hand. Putting a frail hand on Duke's cheek, she took a second to connect her blue green eyes with his now reddish ones. Emilia pecked him on the cheek quickly, before pulling her hand away. "Lets go." She pulled out some money and dropped it onto the table, standing up to leave she tied her pouch closed again, and pulled the hood of her cloak over her head. ==== ☠ ==== ☠ ==== ☠ ==== - drink the poisoned wine to fornicating with our kings. "I Love You More Than I Could Ever Scream" "Always looking out for me." Duke mumbled under his breath as they walked out of the tavern . "Well this was a wasted trip, we'll have to make due some other way huh Emilia." He looked around to see the assembled people over by the arena. Hundreds of men and even some girls were standing around waiting for the upcoming battle. "I remember hearing about some sort of competition going on, a war is upon us.." He mumbled again. "Why don't we take out business here Emilia? Pick pocketing is an art you know and I think we've mastered it. Ready?" A smirk crossed Duke's face, a rush of adrenaline poured through his veins, he wants to get in a bit of trouble so he has a reason to start a fight, has to unleash his built up anger on something other then a flimsy glass cup.
"Careful Duke, don't ******** up." Asmodeus whispered almost silently within his conciseness . "Always doubting me huh? If you don't think I can do anything right why pick me as a vessel?" Asmodeus almost busted a gut laughing when Duke asked that, as if he didn't already know the answer, still that demonic laughter was almost indescribable, it always sent chills up Duke's spine, some things you just never get used to. "Don't be a fool, your sick mind and heart is perfect for a creature like me. Once your heart is gone I'll-" Duke cut him off "Yeah, yeah I know, you'll take over my body and use it to wreak havoc on the world, I don't care. The day my soul dies is the day I will be free of this s**t hole of a world, my life hasn't exactly been luxury." Even though Duke was thinking that he couldn't strain his eyes away from Emilia. When he dies and Asmodeus takes over what will she do...? Is there any way he could prevent him from fully taking control so he could stay by her side? If he kills the Devil inside him will he be free of this curse? Will his heart stay in tact and his soul bound to his body? Searching for answers blindly, no sense of direction, no plan, no way to be certain anything could be done, not much hope. "C'mon, we got work to do Emilia."

Dannith could hear the soft whispered prayers coming from the soldiers gathering behind him and Ifrit. Closing his eyes he makes motions a cross symbol infront of himself making his prayer to St. Cuthbert. 'Protect my vessel and guide my hammer true. Let these obstacles fall fast so the mission can keep going.' With that Dannith's eyes flash open with a stone cold glare, the ghost of an eye left glimmers in the setting sun. Though as the first torches are lite that line the pit, Dannith unlocks his shield off his back bracing it on his right arm and withdrawing his hammer from its strap at his belt. This was it, the make or break moment. Many men behind him took off running backwards in fear of dying. The same happened on the Luskan side but this didn't detur the rest of the fighters. Raising his hammer into the sky Dannith let out a roaring call."FOR THE LANDS OF ARE FOREFATHERS!!!" With that boom of a call, Dannith launched himself into the pit, running at full speed shield at the locked position infront of his chest. Dannith twirled his hammer in gaining momentum as he charged the advancing line. The air seemed still as death for the split second before the two lines of bodies collided but once that happened the utter chaos of battle erupted, blood spraying everywhere, the sound of death ringing in everyone's ears. Though the only sound Dannith could hear at this moment was the sound of crunching skulls as he slammed his hammer down upon a unhelmed head that was not prepared for the mountain of a man charged straight into there lines. Swinging his hammer in a complete arch infront and behind him, using his shield both defensivly and offensivly, Dannith was deep inside the enemy line, causing panic for the men unwillingly caught on the business end of his hammer.

♠♣3☻ Rellic woke up in daze, Still on Koe's back. She seemed to have fallen asleep on his soft fur. Looking around she could barely see the forrest, "was I sleeping for that long?" she thought to herself. Koe's steps slowed down as they started to hear commotion in the distance. "maybe we should stay off the road?" Koe stepped off to the side, even if they have left the road completely he was too big to not be seen, he shrugged his right wing a little bit to let Rellic know to dismount. She gently slid off his back, her slidding away with her. "You have to leave now, don't you, Koe?" she spoke with a slightly sad voice. Koe's wings drooped and he wimpered abit in agreement. "Ok.. I'll see you soon then." Rellic said, her voice just ever so slightly more cheerful. Koe gave a happy bark and gently bumped his forhead to hers in a slight "farewell", he then raised his head up and gave a tri-pitched howl. Rellic instictfully took out her flute and matched his howl, and as the way he appeared, he dissapeared back into the wind. ♥♠2☺ She spent a few more moments attemping to gain the curage to continue her travel alone, taking a deep breath she stepped back onto the dirt road, and continued walking on. Luckily the road was pretty empty, so she played her flute as she walked, as she did so all of the plants and little streams she walked by seemed to dance and sway to her tune. As she seemed to get closer to a town she stopped playing, not wanting to draw too much attention to herself.

Ifrit leaped into the pit and headed towards the enemy lines, his swords by his side, held loosely in his hands for a quick and relaxed slice. He met the axe of an enemy with one of his blades and deflected it, sending the enemy off balance, within the same breathe he stuck the enemy through the stomach and slashed another upcoming enemy with his free blade. Ifrit moved quickly in the heat of battle and showed he was stronger than he looked by flipping the stabbed enemy with his foot as he rolled to his back and sent the dead man into the men behind him. He jumped back to his feet and prepared his blades again for more combat, he dodged a side swipe of a club and kicked his attacker in the head, "They're mostly brutes with no true combat skills!"
