Virtually, stuff that heals an individual instantaneously, or allows them to continue in combat without major issues and is easy to inject.

It would have to:

  • Stop bleeding
  • Prevent Infections
  • Reduce/eliminate pain
  • Prevent Shock
  • Stabilize the person
  • Possibly temporarily or permanently combat the effects of blood loss (such as blood packets, fake or real)

On top of obviously being:

  • Easy to administer
  • Easy to carry around
  • Be suitably Cheap
  • Have high durability; I.E. heat and time, being banged around etc.
  • Suitably High shelf life

It would have to both prevent and kill infections, prevent and possibly combat the immediate effects of blood loss, have a localized anesthetic or pain killer, and stabilize the person to a degree were they could fight there way out of the situation (for possibly a few hours, although minutes is fine) until they receive immediate health care and attention.

Penicillin comes to mind for a general purpose anti-infection, and there are various pain killers out there that only provide local pain relief (such as novacane) that work. As far as fake blood goes, that could last at least a few hours, that has a good shelf life, that mostly depends on the current technology; I'm aware that some fake blood exists, but supposedly it has some pretty nasty side effects, such as spiking blood pressure.

As far as it all goes, I'm going to do some more research- all of your guys stuff is appreciated.

I'm thinking PFC's for the artificial blood for right now, and definitely some IV or plasma stuff. Saline solutions seem alright, although it would only combat say, dehydration. I'm also not sure of the shelf life of plasma or penicillin but it's possible that high pressure chambers could be used to to simulate/create cold temperatures that would drastically increase the shelf life of a lot of the blood and stuff.
