When she came of age to go out into the world and scare small children, she really shined. Some compared the girl to her ancestor Jack Skellington in her outstanding abilities to be frightening but still gentle. Around when she turned fourteen, Kowai awakened her keyblade. Instead of going to Kingdom Key Academy right away, the girl wanted to stay in Halloween Town and proceed to scare children on Halloween night. However, her parents quickly discovered that Kowai was hiding her keyblade when they were attacked by Heartless and she fended them off. Within a few weeks, the girl was sent off to the academy -- much to her dislike.
