I made a lovely picture and i don't want it to be stolen (Which is not getting credit right? Or could it be worse?)

What do I have to do to do?

Perhaps try putting a watermark on it? or a signature somewhere in your picture.

^that. I know with some graphics programs you can put something into the image info that tells people where this came from, etc.

And in general, be careful. If it's in a post/thread or whatever, you might want to put a note about TOS and copyright law. Sometimes that scares people enough that they don't steal your art.

Definitely a watermark or signature on it. That is about the only way.

I like to put a big siggie, but people could always erase that, so try a watermark. They're great, and if you need some help on making them, just ask ^^

The only way to prove that it is your picture is a watermark or a signature. I know a few people who have had artwork stolen from them digitally and ever since they have been placing a watermark on their work.

I always upload my images to a public art site that dates the upload date. That way, in the event of any controversy, I can prove exactly when I first uploaded the image in my name. It'd be quite impossible for an art thief to have an upload date earlier than your own.
