I don't typically visit many art shops, so I haven't been turned down.

But as an artist, I like new challenges,, so I draw pretty much Everything! I have fun with it. I don't really like over simplified Avatars, though. -_-

I still have an art block because a lot of the people who recently came to my shop had simple avis.

I love clutter to a certain extent, because it give me more to work with when it come to poses. And tons of unique clothing O.O I saw a few avis on this page that were amazing! I love inspiring avis or colorful ones with all kinds of pretty things.

I also don't mind drawing bald, though I prefer hair, just because I need the practice with it.

I like OCs, and don't really mind when it's text description, but I just like having previous examples so I know exactly what the artist is asking for. ^_^

I haven't really dabbled with Mecha or anything like that yet, so I don't honestly know if it's on my don't list.

and i can't draw explicit scenes or anything. It's not because I don't want to, It's because I share a scanner with the rest of my family and the scanner is in my mom's room. -_-

Om: It's good that you don't set limitations for yourself 3nodding
XD Haha, no totally understand. It always seems to be easier to draw something messy then something crisp and clean.... and besides, who can resist a rugged man ;D

pffft, well i ended up marrying one, so i suppose you're right, lol! x D

Questing art can be hard work and a bit on the frustrating side.... What are some of the reasons that artists would tell you is the reason they wouldn't draw you/your OC/etc?
If your an artist what things would limit who/what you would draw?

My reference sketches. I probably shouldn't sketch them on notebook paper. And since they are too sketchy, i get turned down. And also, they would rather have pure gold than 1st gen EIs or RIG items, which I earned by using Gaia Cash with hard-earned real life money. I should have just commissioned artists on DevArt with real life money instead of buying pixels. I don't mind with working with simple sketchy sketches, it challenges me to use my own imagination.

color scheme is big for me.
i hate characters where the colors just dont go together at all
it makes them really hard to work with
i also dont like when people request a really complicated and cluttered character for something like a tiny chibi. like do they really expect everything to be recognizable? >;

if avi's I pick out ones that suit to my styles, like some would look cute if its chibi and some would look awesome if its my reg, or something in between experimenting.

I pretty much draw everything if there's a payment. I draw freebies when I'm really free, I'm quite busy these days because of life...anyway, I reject characters (when it's for free) that are uninteresting and dull, for me (yeah it depends on my mood). If it's cluttered I try my hardest to understand and just let my imagination do it's thing. I don't follow the exact reference but I still follow the essentials...

I'm sorry I'm confusing, sweatdrop

I think the only things I can't accept are the perverted ones, nude is okay but any implications of sex or overly weird things (one time someone asked me if I could draw big boobs, I said yeah but he was referring to abnormally big, monstrous, like a full grown man would be able to use it as a bed...sigh)

And I drew a bald guy before too XD

I haven't done commissions in a long time, but things I would deny would be along the lines of a)something I'm not interested in (my case would be anthro/bestiality/ furries in general, just not my thing)
b) too complicated
c) something that isn't thought out very well, like ocs still being put together that change each day.

Have you ever dabbled with drawing instruments?

As an artist I don't do things I can't draw (I do try to step out of my comfort zone but that would only be for art for myself, I wouldn't feel right charging someone for an art I can't do and which is 99% guaranteed to come out looking like a giant pile of steaming horse poop)

So things like hair anywhere other than the top of the head/eyesbrows, I keep trying to draw beard/moustaches, etc but it looks like a serious art that someone graffiti-ed/doodled a moustache on @__@ Or just looks like random crap on their face =3=

I'd love to be able to draw mecha but I can't, it always comes out looking like a cardboard box...So I don't offer mecha
I can't draw animals (except super doodly/cartoon animals) so I don't offer animals or anthro/furries. I also don't do monster type ones. They all end up looking like blobs of crap T^T

I'd prefer not to draw over-cluttered but it depends on how over cluttered, like some avis look over-cluttered but once they give me a tektek, it's pretty simply to do and I don't mind doing it, but other times if it's too cluttered I just wouldn't know how to draw it.

I only tend to reject ones I can't draw/don't know how to draw
Whether or not I find it aesthetically pleasing doesn't really effect if I'll take it or not...Oh one thing I do reject for personal reasons are things like shota or loli... it just creeps me out

People wouldnt draw my OC's because.. 1. I have terrible references. 2. They dont do OC's 3. They dont do males (since I havent drawn my female ones yet ^^' 4.I usually like to try and make somewhat different clothing (terrible with coming up with details, it upsets me..) so it can be somewhat difficult to figure out (kinda going back to #1 ^^')

What would stop me, if I couldnt figure out the detail, there avi/OC does not catch my attention, but most of all.. my laziness when it comes to drawing other's avi's/OC's (I like getting to design my own clothes and what not rather than just re-drawing something)
