I've got a little something to say here.
I've been treated spitefully in this guild before for defending my friends in topics they created to be helped. I can't tell you how many times I've been treated as if I were satan himself because I have a different view than others in this guild. I have my own personal opinion on religion and do not believe anyone has the right to tell me that I am wrong or threaten me with a Hell that no one is 100% sure exists. I'm a United Unitarian, so I believe that all religions hold truth, and some members of this guild choose to treat me as a pariah because I don't have the same views as all of you. Where is the love in all of this? "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
No one seems to abide by that simple rule of life in this fellowship. Why?
Also, does it not say in the bible that God loves all of his children? You all act as if God hates those who do not believe. Some people have no control over what they believe. If you are raised under a certain religion, it is truth to you. To be blasted with another religion is the same as to be bombarded with lies when you are raised to believe something different. All religions have the same general teachings- be kind and loving to all, don't kill, don't steal- all that yada-yada stuff. So what is so wrong about having different beliefs? Who is to say that any one religion is correct? That is why I believe in all religions. Even Satanism and Christianity are built around each other- though the teaching that Satanism has are the direct opposite of Christianity[Which is why Satanism is the only religion I don't agree with].
I'd also like to clear another point I've argued often enough in this guild. Is homosexuality wrong? I have a simple, two letter, answer. No. N-o. No. I would like to give proof of this by referring back to, "does it not say in the bible that God loves all of his children?". Also, it is not a choice made when one is homosexual. You are either born being attracted to people of the same gender, or you're not. You're either heterosexual or homosexual. There is no choice there. If God didn't agree with it, why would he have his children born with an attraction to someone of the same gender? Answer me that question.

As proof towards what I have said about all religions holding truth, read below:
Buddha: With the relinquishing of all thought and egotism, the enlightened one is liberated through not clinging.
What was Buddha trying to say there? I believe it was:
Jesus: Those who want to save their life will loose it. Those who loose their live for my sake will save it.

Buddha: Consider others as yourself.
Hmmm, sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it. A lot like:
Jesus: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Buddha: Hatred does not ever cease in this world by hating, but by love; this is an eternal truth... Overcome anger by love, Overcome evil by good. Overcome the miser by giving, overcome the liar by truth.
That one sounds familiar too. Don't you think it sounds like:
Jesus: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. From anyone who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again.

I agree with the thought that all religions holds some type of weight and that gays should not be persecuted. But here's my question, why not leave if you feel you are not wanted here?

But here's my question, why not leave if you feel you are not wanted here? I plan on leaving after I am answered. I primarily am searching for a response from the guild captain to see what his stand is. I also don't agree with people being spiteful towards those who need help. I'm stubborn in my stand sometimes, so I was previously refusing to leave. >.>

First, God does love everyone but he gave us his guidelines in the Bible on how to enter heaven. If you do not obey then yes you do go to hell.
Second, this guilds beliefs are stated for those to read before they post here. We do have every right to stand for what we believe with all our hearts. If you come here with different beliefs you should not expect us to give up what we believe to make you feel more comfortable. This guild is about our belief in God. People who come here should be coming here to learn what we think and believe, not for acceptance on their beliefs and feelings. There are other guilds for that. You should find a guild that thinks and feels the way you do then.
God is a jealous god, not one who welcomes what others call a god. God cast satan into hell, he did not offer him a seat next to him. He will not offer a seat for anyone or thing others may call a god. There is only one God thee God. He states that you can not serve another god and him. If you try he will spit you out.
Sorry that you feel you were treated so poorly here but belief in God is NOT a place anyone should compromise on. We do not treat gays poorly but we will not say that the lifestyle is acceptable in God's eyes because that is a lie.

No one has ever treated me unjustly in my guild, but I am new.
I have to say this though, I do not know what was said, but any way you put your opinion on the internet it will be attacked. There's no way around it. I can't speak for you since I can't see what was said; however, in very sensitive topics such as religion, you can expect some strong backlash. It depends on what you are talking about.
Maybe the person was just a jerk. Maybe they had a closed-mind. Maybe they were just having a really bad day. Either way, you will run into spiteful characters here. If anyone was mean here, I can guarantee it was not purposeful though.
Maybe you read it in a different voice than they intended. Maybe they really are mean, but the case stands that you are talking about a topic people will get defensive over.
I hope you can stay here, but if you leave, I hope you find somewhere that suits you. I hope you will be treated with respect either way.
