History: Carol Reed was the name that had been bestowed upon her by an old human couple. In fact, her true name is unknown. Carol had been sent to earth as an infant in a desperate attempt to expand the influence of her species. Her home planet is unknown, but others like her had been reported to be found in neighboring planets and in some parts of Earth. The others had since disappeared-- possibly taken by the government for experimental reasons. When the Reeds found her, they weren't sure what to make of her. She seemed fairly humanoid, but appeared to look like some form of bird or perhaps even a long-lost species of dinosaur. Nevertheless, the old couple took her in, first as a pet, and then (as she grew more human) as a child.
Carol was raised with proper morals and had always had an innocent and kind heart. When the Reeds passed at a late age (first one, and then the other of a weak, sorrowful heart), Carol was left on her own. She was 12.
Her instincts allowed her to fend for herself, and she always took on the role of savior whenever she had the chance. People feared her because of her differences, however, and her kind/heroic acts were never returned or recognized. Until one day.
Carol agreed to join the Teen Titans when she turned 15, and has since felt at home.

Decription: When in combat, Carol prefers to maneuver in only her feather-lined skin. Aside from her few amphibious traits, she appears to be mostly related to a bird. Her plumage consists of an overall expanse of soft, white feathers and light-brown speckles (mainly in areas such as her shoulders, breast, knees and face; giving her the appearance of freckles). The light-brown plumage also appears on the inner lines of her thumbs and fore-fingers. Her pale feathers grow more dense on her head and along the spine of her back (they are raised when she is tempered). Her eyes are sharp and her profile lacks the contour of a human nose. Her fingers are delicate; tipped slightly in the form of feminine claws. Her legs and feet are shaped in an almost bird-like, reptilian fashion.
On other occassions, Talon prefers to wear simple attire (i.e, a baggy tank-top paired with shorts). Comfort is key. She seldom wears anything on her feet.
