Bio
Characterized by a loud and rough stylishness, young neo visual kei band vistlip has been attracting a growing, enthusiastic fan base since their appearance on the scene. The band expresses uniquely realistic lyrics and combines hip-hop, pop and rock in heavy and melodious tunes.
Formed in Tokyo, Japan on July 7th 2007 by the current 5 members, 智 (Tomo) on vocals, Yuh and 海 (Umi) on guitars, 瑠伊 (Rui) on bass and Tohya on drums, vistlip is currently signed to Marvelous Entertainment Inc..
On October 18th, 2009 vistlip was performing on Tsukicon in Helsinki, Finland. The show was their debut performance outside Japan.
On December 9th, 2009 their 1st studio album entitled “THEATER” was released.
On July 30th, 2010, the band paused their activities due to an car accident in Nagano city. The band’s car, driven by drummer Tohya, crashed into a tunnel wall. Their manager Asako Sakakibara, which was in the backseat, passed away. The band sustained minor neck and arm injuries.
However, vistlip has resumed activities with a free fanclub live on March 17th.
