This whole economy is going down the toilet. I can't believe they threatened to shut down the government over something that constituted less than one percent of the yearly deficit. I feel bad for the people in the middle east, but if we keep being involved in this overseas junk, the country is going to bankrupt itself. It bugs me to no end that politicians fight over small problems when they ignore the big ones that are draining the country's pockets. In other news, I'm seriously considering doing the JET Program (Japanese English Teacher) once Japan gets stabilized from the earthquakes and radiation. I want to travel, and I'm pretty sure I can get paid over there better than I could over here.

The way I understand it American teachers get paid enough to feed their kids and have enough left over to buy discount peanuts for themselves. confused

I need a job so bad. I'm so sic of living with my parents. I'm sitting on a tech degree with nothing to show for it, and it's driving me nuts.

Public school teachers in Alabama make about 30-35 per year, so it could be worse. I think I saw that starting pay is about 28.5k for first year teachers. But, after putting up with kids all day long, I don't think it's worth it. High school might be better. I'm applying at some private schools to be a high school English teacher as part of my never ending quest for employment. I have an interview on Tuesday for a debt consolidation place, but I'm starting to wonder if it will be a scam like some of those other interviews I've had. A friend of mine who works at Blue Cross Blue Shield said that she might be able to help me get a job in the call center there, but considering the fact that I am so anti-insurance companies and pro-free public healthcare, I feel like I might be working for the enemy. sweatdrop But, hopefully by the time free public healthcare comes along, I will have enough work experience to find something I actually want to do. I hate being part of the 8.9% and not having any real experience to help me get a job.

Btw, have you heard anything about Libya in a while? It has gotten pretty quiet on the news about the whole thing.

This site has been pretty good for me : http://rt.com/news/nato-libya-rebels-blame/

yes the experience thing Is a huge wall that I keep running into. I can't a get a job that would be worth the time, and it seems like every day my parents get more and more abrasive about everything. They talk as if I'm not trying and it makes me boil inside. One of these days they're gonna say too much and I'm gonna have a aneurysm from them pissin me off so bad

Well, if NATO has taken over command of the intervention from the US, I guess that's a good thing for Americans. It is unfortunate about the friendly fire though. xp I'm really wondering if this whole intervention on behalf of the rebels will work. If you think about it, if the US wanted to accomplish their objectives quickly, they could just take over the government, but that would be imperialism. sweatdrop

That would make things so much worse sad . The nutjob terrorists would then be all like "See? We're not crazy, they're evil blah blah" Not to mention we'd definitely lose all support right then and there.
