I'd say free. But I could be proven wrong. If it is free, it'll be insanely popular. If it isn't, then it'll be at least severly competitive with Live. We'll just have to wait and see. I think using the concept of in the PS3 to allow games that had network playability to play online would be an awesome bonus for the PS3. It would inspire people to buy a PS3 at launch, even if it doesn't have many/any launch games worth buying.

This is good news. I was happy to read this today... Kinda put my day up a notch really, I drank half a bottle of rum to celebrate...
Anyways, hopefully Sony does match, if not exceed XBL.

Well I know that Nintendo said that there online service would be around the same as Xbox Live, and there's is free. So hopefully Sony will do the same.

If you got to pay, I wont play....... online that is. Period. I dont really think it would be worth it anyhow.

People already paid lots of money for the console they should at least make the service free...please?

An2, PSnetwork is free to game and use the only thing that costs money is products you wish to buy, which makes sense. Unlike MS, once you buy the system you dont need to pay monthly for an upgrade to a network that lets you play online.
