Has anyone else been declined many times when ordering art because apparently the designs were too complex? ;w;

hmmm I've never heard of that but I can see it as a possibility if you were looking to hire only here on gaia.... what is your character design? do you provide a picture when you commission?

I don't really order art, because I can never find someone who draws manly men, but my OCs are rather bland.

Can't understand why people would reject. Mad detail is always fun times.

I personally love a lot of detail, if its not just a hot mess. A lot of my own characters are highly detailed, and I'm proud of them. I know a lot of people put tons of work into those types of characters, so its a plus for me.

Well, not every artist likes facial hair or patterns and details so I tend to get the boot. @.@
It's happened mostly on another avatar site but it has happened on Gaia as well.
My characters fluctuate. None of them really look the same. XD But I do provide references and such.

I find detail thrilling and something to do. But to each their own?

It would have to depend on my mood and how awesome the character is. Myself, I have over twenty OCs, and they're all pretty complex and full of detail, lol. mrgreen But generally, I don't mind.

I dont order art.
I love adding detail to my drawings. I'm not very interested in drawing someone else's oc or anything.

My avatar is bald. Many people refuse to draw my avatar character simply cause of the lack of hair. xp Could be a simple outfit with the simplest hair style of them all and its just cause of the baldness its hard to find artist.

Me personally perfect to draw complex > *yawn* simple.

Heh, I have. It was mostly because that typical style of clothing calls for a lot of detail, and they didn't know if they could pull off a cross-dresser without making it too obviously male or female.

I haven't turned anyone away on the basis of being too detailed. If anything, I find it more helpful and fun... When not coloring.

I loooove details in most cases, as long as the bg isn't buildings or something ( i like to do tree trunks with detailed bark but I dont get to do it often <.<). I used to do crazy s**t back in highschool art-wise and everyone always told me I had a lot of detail xD
