WHY?
I dunno if it's just my tendency to cram too much detail into character concepts or what, but something about this CG painting I'm working on strikes me as terribly... incomplete. It feels like it's missing something, almost. Any suggestions would be much appreciated~
It isn't too big, but I'm linking out all the same.
On the subject of little mistakes, I'm still working on them, though if anything in particular is bothering you and you have some advice about fixing it, by all means, reply with your thoughts :]

hey : D !!! nice shading! as to what it's lacking I think its lacking crisp lines, all your lines on your character are kinda blury or smudgey, I think if you add some crisp lines in some parts of the shading it can really help bring back some definition to detail in your character.
: 3 another thing you might wanna try is adding reflections and bright high lights in your armor, to give it a more shiny feeling to it.
as for little things that bother me a little is the shoulders v.s. the head... the shoulders seem a little low compared to her head. Maybe erase some of her neck to bring down her head? : 3
I think this drawing is definitely on its way to being a great piece of work, you just gotta keep at working on it till your happy with it. : D Best of luck !!! and can't wait to see the final product!

I can see how it would trike you as plain if you're used to implementing a lot of detail into your work. The character design is simple, which isn't always a bad thing. That'd be my guess as to why its bothering you in specific. There's no wrong way to go about character design though really.
