i may be getting a tablet soon, and i really want to get one that i'll be interested in using for a good long while. i've been wanting one, but idk the difference between all the different stuff out there.... o.o;

i'll post some samples of what i've been doing if it helps (if there's some other info you need that'd help just ask!) i've been coloring sketches with photoshop CS4, and i kinda want something i can easily draw with from start to finish.

lately, i'll draw the main subject of a pic as a sketch, scan it, color it, and if i can i'll try to draw a bg with the mouse that i have. ex:

( the first one ain't so great, i know, but i don't have many examples cause it takes a lot of time i don't have to draw bg's in color with a mouse. ; . ; )

being able to do all of this on the computer would make things easier for me. so... any suggestions? are there any important things i should look at or take into account? i'm basically clueless here, so... HELP? ; u ;

i've had a wacom bamboo for the past year or so. its cheap and perfectly fine for my uses - my dA is in my sig ;D

my friend has a wacom intuos3, which is a lot more expensive.
it does have better pressure sensitivity and less lag between the pen and computer, but i could only tell that through comparison.

i would say start out with the bamboo!

Deffinitly buy a wacom!!!! I've tried other brands of pen tablets and let me tell you rolleyes wacom is the only way to go...

wacom bamboo like Mayrin said is a good buy for your money, its affordable and really good quality.

I myself have a wacom intuos3, which offers a little bit more deffinition then the bamboo wacom offers but is also a little more coastly. However I think you can only buy wacom intuos 4's now... which are also good 3nodding

heres the site if you wanna look more into wacom products, just click the country your from and see the prices and products they offer. : 3

http://www.wacom.com/index.html

There might be stores in your area that also offer wacom products but its good to check out the prices on the wacoms before buying the product so you know if the store is charging you correctly. I once bought a wacom tablet for my bf at future shop. Turns out they over charged me 200 dollars for the tablet >.> *yea I totaly brought it back and made them refund me* but just saying you should make sure the prices add up with what they have on the site to make sure the site your ordering from aren't over charging you. Or you could always order directly from the wacom site which would be a good way to go as well 3nodding

I have a Genius G Pen tablet, and I love it.
I got it for only $65, and its way bigger and thinner than the Bamboo Funs/Touches for the price.

I personally don't think you need a Wacom as your first tablet.
I find them to be clunky and awkward. Mine's about the size and shape of a clipboard =/

On a smaller tablet, you have to draw with your wrist, which can lead to health issues. But on larger tablets, you're able to draw with your whole arm.
It may just be that I'm a violinist, but I find drawing with your entire arm to be more comfortable, and you have more control.

You can try Amazon.com's Tablet Section

This is the tablet I have.
I love it so much.
