I had a little rescue that I found running around in my local City Hall. I brought him home and he was as sweet as could be. Being in a foster situation, we normally isolate the dogs from the others to prevent illness. While no one was home, he got out of where we put him. Turns out, he was a digger. he dug his way out of the backyard (he brought a few dogs with him who went off in a separate direction or stayed close) my neighbor called me letting me know my dogs were out. We round them all back in and cover the hole. Then i realized, I couldn't find our newest member of the family. We searched the rest of the day for him. He was no where in sight. We also posted adds on Craigslist. When I got online, I had received a message from a fellow rescue saying that animal control had found a light brown, almost blond, male long hair chihuahua with a purple collar. in the road. He had been hit by a car. Immediately I knew it was him. I feel so guilty, he was in the one direction I forgot to look. Who knows, maybe I would have found him alive. Even if I didn't have him long I still miss him and I am very heartbroken. I can't even sleep. I just thought I'd vent my feelings where someone could understand the hurt.
Goodbye Captain, I will meet you at rainbow bridge and you, me, sophia and daisy will all cross together and be reunited. Thinking about that is making me cry, I miss them all so much. I'm sorry to type so much. But I appreciate you reading and listening to me. Thank you.
