I don't know many people at my age (early teens) who truly believe in the Lord. They often ask me, "If there's a God, why is their wars? Why is there any pain or suffering in the world? If there was a God, wouldn't he make it all go away?". What they don't seem to understand, is that God gave us free will. He allowed us to choose our own path, hoping we would stay close to Him on the way. With freedom, comes responsibility. There will always be those who don't walk with the Lord. But don't get me wrong, this isn't going against teens. Adults often question about these things too. But what is your opinion on teens, the Lord, and questioning His ways? I believe it is good that teens are bringing these things up. It means they are thinking of God, and that is never a bad thing, is it?

I think of it like this:
Those people that question "where is God if he exists and why isn't he stopping our famine and wars?" are the same people who have pushed God out of everything. They are people who jump down the throat of anyone at the mention of the bible as the word of God. For so long the world has been saying "Get out of our lives God" and because of our free will, he has done just that.
Prayer was taken out of the schools, Separation of church and state, can't say "Merry Christmas" at work or you will be reprimanded. If you take God out of everything and deny him in your life then where do you think he's gonna be? If you aren't going to follow God and call upon him to guide your life then he will allow you to wallow in yourself because of free will.
Quote: 2 Thessalonians 2:10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
Quote: 1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Quote: 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

That's a good point there.
Also, we did a survey in Religion in school, and belief in God seems to be slowly decreasing from generation to generation. The results were,
100% of grandparents (60yrs+) asked believed in God. Over 85% of parents (30yrs+) asked believed in God. About 80% of students (13-15) asked believed in God.
That's still all very high, but if the decrease continues, in 50 years, imagine what those numbers will be? It worries me.

It's always easy to blame God for things. After all, we blame each other all the time.
"It wasn't my fault! It was Eve! SHE gave me the fruit!"
"It was the snake's fault!"
"Uh oh..."
It's easy to blame God for famines and wars. But it's much more difficult to look at oneself and say "How have I helped those things progress?"
Have you ever wasted food? You have participated in starvation. Have you ever been angry to the point of hurting somebody? You've just caused harm. Have you ever fought with somebody over a long period of time to get your way? You've just participated in war.
Teens are confused. More than any other group, society is force-feeding them lies and nonsense. The boys have to have sex with as many girls as they can or they're not men, and the girls have to be toothpicks or they're not pretty. It also doesn't help that they're going to colleges where professors can pretty much teach whatever they want and they have influences from people like Lady Gaga and Dawkins.
Alas, Satan has cast his net. And no matter how hard we try, we will not be able to help everyone. But we should still try.

That post really made me think 3nodding
But that end part was pretty stereotypical. I know you probably didn't mean to be, but not all teens are like that. I don't think I am although I wouldn't mind losing just a little bit of weight....

It's ok to question God and ask Him of things but to never question God of His will. We as Christians have no right to question Him when He is working on directing our paths in life. It's about 'obeying,' Him and not questioning things He has instore for us. When we do not understand something, that's when we ask something. Never question His power. A lot of people even Christians forget how powerful He is. He has the power to give and take away. I have many things to show all of you in upcoming posts. These things you may not question for which they are true.

No. His Will should never be questioned being that we should remain obedient. It is in His Will for us to be obedient unto Him. A lot of Christians want to be in control for their own benefit, but God is the One Who should be in control. That's why we give our burdens to Him and pray; speak to Him daily. Remember, He wants us to overcome our personal tribulations. How can we not overcome our personal tribulations and expect to be Raptured? Walking with God is not supposed to be easy. Let no one hinder you my friends! There will be those who call themselves Christians who will try to trace you off track and deceive you. People will act like Prophets. I have a friend who is doing this to me now, and every time she talks to me, she brings down my spirit so much. But there will be the discernment of knowing what God wants to do in your life this far. I would know. I'm going through it right now. I've been asking God to cut that friendship off from me because I cannot have someone in my life who is going to hinder my relationship with Him. The sad part is, the person doing it does not even realize it sometimes. This is why we should put on our full Armor Of God and stay equipped. I may not have been walking with God very long, but I do know when things start to get dangerous. It's dangerous when you know someone who is trying to control your walk with God. Friendships last for seasons because God puts people in our lives for so long until move on, and weave and water the crops of life, and begin to plant seeds of Truth. My friend has told me many hurtful things, but I give these things to the Lord.

Am a teen and I really don't care for what my generation is into most of the time,I watch out for my friends when they are in a tough decision. However some teens try and stay with the father even during school, the school I go to has a bible club. I don't really question the father's will, because he allows us to choose our paths and whether we choose to remain with him or strain away from him. I for one am determined to try and stay with him and I know he hears my prayers and answers them when I ask him to forgive me and my loved ones.
My question is why do people question his will so much ?

gaia_angelleft I get so tired of these mockers and haters and when you tell them to stop being a critic and read scripture they our to lazy to even do that. God had me read the word and stuff and you totally understand God's ways when your done fully reading scripture. The people remove God they deny me as well because I am on Christ's team but I will continue to speak Christ especially on my haters and tell the hard core solid truth even if it sounds bad to them. gaia_angelright

There is never a dumb question and if you have a question then you should ask it. We may never know the answer because it may be beyond our understanding. As far as why there are natural disasters and wars, I have an answer that may help. Yes we all have free will. Our own emotions and feelings get in the way and we war with people but also think on this next part. When Adam was in the garden of Eden, he was given dominion over the things of the earth. He sinned and by sinning he passed that dominion over to satan. Why wouldn't satan cause natural disasters that would make us question our faith in a loving caring God? Now look at how many God saved from these natural disasters. People that should have been there but felt the need to be somewhere else. How many people say that they heard a voice telling them to move or stop and saved them from a horrible accident. Even those who loose their homes have ended up with better than they had before. Those who walk and live in the grace of God are always taken care of. Even if they are called home to glory, they are better than they were before. Heaven is the place we all want to be. Even in the face of disasters, God meets the needs of His children.
