I'd probably just set it off back to the sea. Rather than it being my midnight snack. *shot*

I rescued a baby duckling once.
The tiny little thing was running around outside a medical building where i was making a delivery. It's mama was nowhere in sight, though I knew there was an artificial lake nearby. I picked up the duckling so it wouldn't get run over, and then someone told me they had seen the mother on the other side of the building. So I went there, and there she was with bout 10 or 11 babies. I put the duckling down near her, and he began cheeping frantically, and she started quacking, and they ran toward each other, and the lost one rejoined his siblings.
I felt really good about it! biggrin

In some places it is illegal to touch the turtles or the eggs. So if you do lend a helping hand, don't get caught doing it!

Ooo the desert turtles in Southern California they are protected. So you can't move them or you will get a fine. So if it crosses your path and decides to take it's time you have to wait for it to cross.
