I know freestyle canine disc isn't a "real" sport. But it is my sport. I've been really good at a lot of sports but I've never been great at anything. Probably because I did everything so I never spent enough time with one single sport and never competed seriously in anything. But I feel like I have a chance of being really great at this. We came first by a long shot at the national pet show. And we beat the only guy in the province that I know who went to nationals. That has to count for something.
Anywwhoo, I might have pushed myself a bit too hard yesterday. See I'm working on a move where I will walk on my hands and Cowboy will weave through my arms as I do. But it's been a while since I've been able to do a handstand, and I was doing some strength training and...my back hasn't hurt this badly in a while. sad
what's your guys sport? ever compete? Will you come see us if we do a trial in driveable distance of you?
My biggest sports are skiing and swimming. I did the later competitively as a kid but only in public pools, never went to the private scene. Although I did teach at private pools for a bit and I miss it. I never competed in skiing cause I live an hour or more away from all the good hills. So I only took lessons once a week. I'm considering taking the required training to teach. I know you can make a lot of money doing private lessons for tourists. Biking is more of a hobby, never competed, and yet, I do it professionally LOL. I'm a bike patroller for the city of Montreal, with formal bike training from the police and everything. It is so much fun to balance your bike at the red light until it turns green and people stare at you like WHAT THE HELL?
I am a very stubborn and determined person. So I sort of regret not ever getting serious training in any sport, I guess I never asked my mom cause I didn't want to be a burden, and now I feel like it's too late for those but not for frisbee. I'm still the youngest person on the field at every trial. I know I can make a name for myself. Maybe enough to earn me a spot on superdogs someday.

Oh I think it's plenty real and very easy to over do it. Rest up and take a hot bath or something.
