'Cause I'm planning on working on a custom system for this setting I have in mind. I want to make a simple, low-numbers game, using as little dice as possible. I have a few ideas in mind, but I'd like to know if you guys have any experience with system-making/tweaking, or if you know of a simple system out there that could help me.
Thanks in advance.
And look at that roll!

Depends on the setting you want. You could do a setting based on a set of stats using a d6 roll x stat as a number for a task.
Also, how many tries did it take you to get that 100?

Storyteller style system using only d6 is a good way to get around dice problems. But it might be tough to balance, especially if you're used to d20 style stuff. What's the setting's theme, and how hard did you want to make this?

Also, how many tries did it take you to get that 100? 1 try. I know. The setting is basically 'Fantasy WW1/2', so there's going to be a lot of ranged battling. I already got some ideas on what I wanna do with the setting, just not sure what to do with races and stats.

You can't edit posts to reroll dice on Gaia. Unless guilds is radically different from regular forums.

Well, this is easy. I would use DnD, using whichever classes you wanted (if you wanted no magic or a system where magic was steampunk tech or something, then removing spellcasters would be good except for, like, the artificer. As for partial casters, make them use odd devices or find some way to work them in. It's fantasy WW1/2, they could have nades that freeze the ground or something).
There is always Big Eyes Little Mouth (regular and D20) if you wanted to go that route. Or even do Mutants and Masterminds and people would have to associate certain powers with natural ability or used gear.
Or use something ala Maid RPG.
Depends on how complex you wanna make this. I'm always up for helping work out the details of using a certain system to fit a setting.

Hrrm...any thoughts on giving Mekton Zeta a try? It's a pretty flexible system, all things considered.
