[ Premise/Foreword ]
This was inspired mainly by AvP and Monsters vs. Aliens, although this has neither cast. What really inspired this was Cracked.com's funny articles and my own nerdy "which apocalypse would kill the other" thoughts. Add to this a terminator-style group of heroes, and you've got the basics of it.
[ Setting Information/Background ]
In 3012567, humanity has closed her final frontier. The universe has been explored. Space holds no more unanswered questions.
Our success was largely due to our advances in science, providing cures for all common forms of anything, gadgets capable of unthinkable things, and so, so much more. All of it was backed up by our friends in metal casings, the Robots.
But, these friends of ours did not return the favor. A.I had been neutral for eons, content to exist as citizens to the humans, but it grew corrupted with ambition and drive. Unleashing a hideous virus upon humanity, the robots hoped to rid the universe of their fleshy masters, leaving them all to die. But, something went astray from the plan.
The virus began to mutate the human corpses, dead though they were. Within weeks after the mass extinction, the masters became monsters, feeding off of each other like ravenous demons.
An epic battle ensued, pitting necrotic flesh against finely-tuned steel. Seeking to undo the disaster, a single survivor fled into a blind wormhole, traveling through time, back to our own, present time in hopes of finding someone to stop the madness from ever occurring.
[ Game Introduction/Plot ]
You're changing the future; to prevent the oncoming Zombie Vs Robot apocalypse, you're going to prevent the A.I from ever being developed.
