Is stroke order REALLY that important? I can't ever write them in that exact order!

Here is something else to consider.
Is there a guild for begginners of the Japanese language? Because I need to join it.

That would depend on if you wanted to write neatly.
Using the correct stroke order helps you write the words more neatly.

(Learned that from writing chinese, it's really good to get in the habit of doing correct stroke order.
If you intend on learning Kanji, you should practice.)

It's important, especially if you're going to try calligraphy with ink and a brush. That way the symbol you're writing will look like it's supposed to. it's a good idea to use stroke order when you begin learning, but after a while, once you're familiar with the symbols, then you can switch it up. heart
