I live a couple miles from the mall.
I could easily walk there if I actually enjoyed the place.
It's on fire right now. <.< Some guy came in the Gamestop with a gun and told everyone to get out, so hit lit the place on fire and barricaded himself in the bathroom. They got him out, but he no longer had his backpack...so they couldn't let the firefighters in to work on he fire until it was found....
The fire is out of control right now. Rumors that a bomb went off. I also heard a caller on the radio say he knew the guy and he apparently burnt his grandmothers house down recently.
Kinda scary s**t. but still crazy.

EDIT: Okay. it wasn't his grand mothers house. It was a WalMart. <.< That was verified by a police officer.

eek Holy s**t. That's really scary. gonk Fortunately there haven't been any injuries. Yet the material losses. Damn.
So this guy has a grudge with specific stores? There must be something must be wrong with that man's mind.

I have to agree on that. O .o What the heck goes through their minds? Unless he's an arsonist.
Well, they managed to evacuate the whole building with total control, that is quite admirable. Excellent emergency procedure.

I'm glad your family and friends are all okay. :3

I can see disliking a store or hating it. But I wouldn't trash it or burn it. Especially at a mall... thats like destruction everywhere. lol ******** gamestop I hope the mall will be okay.

People need to realize that if you're going to go apeshit for no reason, you should probably do it on your own time, in a manner that's not going to inconvenience everyone else.

Sounds more like an overblown pathetic cry for help than just random store rage. Why else would he barricade himself in the bathroom after yelling at everyone else to get out? ...while the place is on fire. And he keeps setting really public places on fire that inconvenience a large body of people. That's sure to get him noticed. This whole thing just screams pathetic and sad to me.

The hell kind of loser would reuin a perfectly good Gamestop?
Doesn't he care that people could lose their jobs, or at the very least be put on suspension until that s**t is fixed?

Oh the Games! The GAMES! What they ever do to anyone!? Great... another thing to blame, and say how bad video games are for people... *sigh*
In all seriousness though... It's good no one got hurt and that they caught the crazy dude...

No one died, thankfully. Everyone got out safe.
But yeah. He was claiming it was a cry for help. I guess he had been kicked out of his home recently, and the way he mixed his meds (all sorts of medications. ugh) he just...snapped. He wasn't getting the help he needed and this was the way he felt he could get it.
It's really sad seeing the video and pictures. So many memories of that part of the mall (it's part of the original structure. They've done a lot of adding and remodeling) Spencer's, Mrs. Fields... FYE.....all surrounding Gamestop. gonk
What sucks the MOST is that the Galleria brought $3.2million/year into Roseville. It's a MAJOR MAJOR economic problem now. Jobs have been lost. Tourism (You'd be surprised hoe excited people get to go there....) I have a lot of friends and my aunt who have lost jobs because of the fire. It's just...really really sad to see how much this really has effected everything. sad
Edit: The Govonator even declared a state of emergency because of the fire.... <.< It effects our economy THAT much.
