My sister is basically turning into one of those people I despise.. she dislikes Chad because he's gay and she's just.. ugh.. >> I do not like how that kid is turning out at ALL... but anyways.. when she talks down on gays in front of my mom my mom is like "Don't judge people based on their orientation. They're people too."
BUT THEN SHE'S THE EXACT SAME WAY O_O
She's probably the reason my sister is like that!
How dare she say that and then not follow her own advice herself

Oh I HATE that I do I SOOOOO do.
I mean on one hand okay good for her for at least admitting being like that is wrong
but honest to God woman do you think the kids going to listen when you act like that?
No more than likely not.
Children understand Hypocrisy even if they don't know what it means.
They know it's wrong and they can also deign not to listen when they see it happening.
That whole do as I say not as I do mentality just does not fly....

Children understand Hypocrisy even if they don't know what it means.
They know it's wrong and they can also deign not to listen when they see it happening.
That whole do as I say not as I do mentality just does not fly....
Gosh.. I'm going to punch my sister so hard in the face one of these days.
She's the reason Chad and Laura won't even come over...
Well, and my mom, partially.. but my mom would just stay of of the way.. My sister is VERY confrontational.
If she starts bullying any gay kids at her school I'm going to psychologically damage her so badly she's going to be convinced she's a lesbian.

My siblings have never made any...anti-gay comments
I'm not even sure they realize there's Gay people in the world
...But if I ever heard something come out of their mouth even slightly bad mouthing someone for their orientation if I knew it wasn't an innocent/confused comment.
I would explode.
My Mom's....pretty accepting and not overly hypocritical....though she can be a bit "but the bible says" about certain things which makes me want to smack her upside the head.
But she would never teach my siblings to hate on someone for that.
My Step-Dad...is a homophobe...mostly towards Gay men vs. Lesbians..... but he's pretty good about not being a d**k about it...he's just uncomfortable with the whole subject.
Which given his generation and religious up bringing ...I can understand that
