I know this should be in Creative Crossroads; however, all I am looking for is thoughts on an idea churning around in my head. There is no opinion needed on an art piece or writing.
My thought: to create custom Christmas cards this year. The help I need: what one thinks of when they hear the word "Christmas."
I'm terrible when it comes to thinking up something completely original. That's where you awesome guildies come into play! biggrin
Quick! Think "CHRISTMAS!"
Feel free to discuss: - Anything Christmas related - Everything Christmas related

A dog and a cat sleeping in front of a fireplace wearing Santa hats near a plate of cookie crumbs and a glass of half drunk milk. With full bellies.

I swear by my pretty floral bonnet...I think, why so early?
Also, I think of snow covered evergreens, carolling, santa hats, crowded malls, the family crowding around the fireplace and being content. ...I will end you.

When I first think or hear the word "Christmas" my eye twitches comically with agitation - especially when Christmas is still several months away. Also, I worry about all of the trees that will be cut down for cards. Your cards should read "please don't start playing Christmas music too early and please recycle this card."
Okay, I'm not the Christmas season's greatest fan. Bah, humbug and all that jazz. Working in retail will do that to a person.

I think of all the stores playing the same songs over and over and my family being busy because the holidays bring us work, but then having time off of school in which to hang out with friends ^.^;
Buuut, for a card? Hmmm, I'd draw something like... snowmen and Santa's reindeer having an epic battle, because I think it would be cool =x

NO!
Just no!
Then I read your topic....
I think of a night time winter landscape with the moon out and not a cloud in the sky. The snow sparkles and the shadows look almost comfortable. All the trees have a blanket of snow on them too.
There's just so much I think about! Baking christmas treats with my mom. Watching the dog walk up to the house looking like the abominable snowman. Driving down a town road and seeing all the houses lit up. Also traveling around, hoping that the weather would be good, and visiting family and friends. Sitting outside on a nice winter night stargazing. Now I also get to think about my kids faces as they light up coming downstairs on christmas morning.
Like I said there's a lot and I could probably keep going on but I won't.
