So this year has rought about a lot of changes, both for marching band and the school.

We got a new prinicple who, since seeing us working extremely hard to the passout point at bandcamp, is completely in lvoe with the band and said that he would be willing to pay for away game buses out of his own pockets so we could go.

Our band director left, so our choir director is in charge of band, prchestra and choir. Its difficult, because it means elss rehearsal time for us.

And our awesome football coach left.

Now, unlike football, the band can manage without a director. but new football coach and the entire team sucks. We lsot against the worst team in town. (which is too bad their band ddnt come, because it would have been the only chance they wold have ahd to play their fight song more then once)

So i just thought id point out that this is the first time I've been part of a marching band for a loosing team...We play the fight song for fun. Its so weird!

At this time last year(3rd game) we had played the fightsogn nearly 50 times. We have only played it 31 times, but that counts band camp and rehearsals.

D: oh, my. I'm sorry about that.

Last year, our football team was terrible. We only sing the fight song if we win. We lost so much last season that it became a new tradition to just sing the fight song all the time.

And we only have three home games this year, which is so sad; pep band is so much fun, and the school loves our show (shockingly, they pay attention!).

We had a change for the better this year, though. At the football game two weeks ago, the football announcer introduced the band, and everyone went nuts. When we marched our show, they were actually paying attention. It made us all smile, but a lot of the newbies were like: "O.O" So...
