Would it be a good idea to start with a full tank of seahorses, post my tank around places, and then buy better fish? Would this plan work, or would it fail? Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. biggrin

I don't know if those glow well in a group. Try going with some cheap mini-monsters like Purses, Alpha Grams, Buzz Kills, or even Predator Prairie Pups.

It would likely be very difficult to get full games and BGT invites. I highly recommend that you do not pursue a full seahorse tank if you are trying to make a profit.

I recommend starting out with Lightning Bugs and Alpha Grams since those are relatively cheap fish that glow in groups, drop decently and will still get you invites.

I say don't make a tank for profit anymore since gaia has been killing the aquariums for some time now. Instead do it because you like the fishies or something like that.

Just because gaia is fixing glitches is no reason to not make a tank.
Some fish are priced with the possibility of earning a profit, and others are slowing getting into that range. The key is to do your research before you buy. Look at guides that give you stats. Talk to tank owners who have the fish you are considering.
