I was going through my other computer when I saw pictures of my first... sort of... dog, Taz. v_v
He was a pit bull. And.. wasn't actually mine. I was like.. his co-owner. He was my aunt's dog. But he got too big for her apartment so I said I'd keep him at my house. I took care of him. Though she bought him food and stuff I was the one who fed him and played with him and brushed him and all that. For two years.
He was a SWEETHEART. :[ v_v
I remember one time, during my mom's baby shower... the kids wanted to go outside and play with him. I did NOT want them to. I said no at first. |: Because they would NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY WITH HIM. They were playing way too rough with him and DESPITE MY WARNINGS TO NOT PLAY WITH HIM LIKE THAT, one of them ended up getting bit because she thought he was going to attack her and ran. (Trust me, he wasn't ._. He was just trying to jump on her, if not attack her with kisses. He wasn't even growling or had teeth showing or looked angry or anything. Taz was NOT a violent dog. >>)
Seriously, it's common sense not to run from a dog, people. He wasn't even being aggressive or anything. He was being playful and she got scared and ran and he was like "LAWL 8D *chases and bites arm*" I mean, Chance does that with ME all the time and he's... actually a hundred times more brutal/violent then Taz EVER was. |: Seriously, I've gotten so many scratches, bites with open wounds, and welts from play fighting with Chance. o_o;;
But everyone freaked out about it because Taz was a pit bull. The stupid girl was telling people that he bit her on purpose and I was just like "... NO" I SAW what happened. >>;; She ran, he chased. Any dog would have done it. I had to fight tooth and nail to not lose him. v_v Cause my mom was dead set on sending him to the shelter after that incident, and he'd have probably been euthanized. However, I convinced her to let him stay if we put him through training. So we did.
But yeah... then one day my aunt's ex-boyfriend came by. And me, being the stupid, naive person that I was/probably still am, let him in. He came by a lot to play with Taz on the weekend, so it wasn't like I was letting a stranger in. ._. I did NOT, however, know that they'd broken up and that he has a sort of.. vendetta against her because of it. So yeah... he took him. v_v And I had to watch and I cried my eyes out. I tried to stop him. ;-; I told him to wait for my aunt and even grabbed the leash and tried to kick him out, but in the end he took him and... left. v_v;; And that was the last I'd seen of Taz.
When I'd next heard about Taz, a year or two later, my grandma had finally tracked him down. v_v She was gonna get him back for me, and trust me.. she WOULD have gotten him back. But... she'd found out that my aunt's ex had sold him to some Mexican guy.. and he was now basically being used in dog fights... .... v_____v;; ;-; She said she would have gotten him back but he was... different. And despite me being present in Taz's life before she didn't know if he would remember me or how he'd react and she didn't want me to get hurt. So yeah... :[
That.... I just wanted to make a thread to remember him. Me and him weren't as close as Chance and I are, but we were still pretty attached. v_v I'm sad that he's gone, and I can only hope that he's been rescued or put out of his misery by now. I'll always remember him for the angel that he is instead of the fighter that his stupid, disgusting owner turned him into. :[ And if I ever happen to see my aunt's ex ever again, I'm going to punch that wanker in the face for breaking my heart like that (and my aunt's heart, at that). v_v Because I was like... 12 years old and I'd REALLY loved that dog. :'[ I'd been begging for a dog since I was six so you can only imagine how that felt.
