Basic Information

The weapon exploits a heavy polygonal 20 inch long 1 in 9.75 inch (24.765mm) six groove right hand twist barrel, which drastically increases the accuracy and velocity of the round fired from it, from a shorter barrel. While a 20 inch barrel is far from "Short", comparing the extremely high grade .30-06 round to a 20 inch barrel, which usually needs at least a 26 inch barrel, and achieving similar results is a decent achievement.

The round is fed using quadruple column self turning magazines designed to increase the cap size per magazine to an enormous amount. Due to the heavy weight of the rounds involved, 18 grams per round, and the extreme construction materials, each magazine weighs roughly 4.8 lb. Although the magazine is fully capable of supporting roughly 125 rounds, instead of 100 rounds, the magazine uses an extremely reliable, extremely high powered spring, that takes up a large portion of the magazine, is hard to compress after a certain point, and that is never over loaded past it's minimum safe zone, or 100 rounds. This insures a constant reliable feed from a large cap spring fed magazine, something that otherwise would have presented difficulties.

For the 25mm Grenade launcher, it is essentially and underbarrel tube fed semi-automatic or pump action large bore shotgun, intended to fire the 25mm grenades more or less in the same fashion that 40mm grenade are fired from rifles. This weapon system incorporates the high low firing system, to help reduce and manage recoil.

The weapon also sports a scope and laser range finder similar to that of the XM25. These two pieces, however, are disconnected and integrated into the weapon. The Laser range finder is on the bottom of the gun, directly beneath the barrel, increasing the laser range finders accuracy somewhat, and allowing the user to "Overshoot" their target rather than undershoot. The scope is positioned on top, however the weapon has a 4-8x 65mm scope and an integrated thermal 1x65mm thermal addition integrated on the front, that can be turned on and off (rather than having separate thermal and daytime scopes). This also allows the user to "Find" their laser, which basically is viewable in infrared. Like the original XM25, the laser range finder allows the user to program the rounds to explode at a certain distance or "Air Burst", although several types of rounds exist.

Becuase the scope and laser range finder are integrated into the weapon, the battery is located in the stock and removable just the same as in the ordinary weapon.
