Angel Timewas delicious.
I guess you could say it was refreshing to read something of hers that wasn't all woe-is-me-and-my-immortality. And she wrote it just recently. ;D Usually I'm reading her works some 30 years late.
It was interesting reading her before she was a devout Christian, when she wrote the majority of the Vampire Chronicles, and after she had found God. Christianity played a large, large role in this book. Not in a Dan Brown way, very mysterious and all that, but very simply, God and Heaven play an active role.
Have any of you read it?

No, but I might think about it. Now that I have no lists to get through, I need to start reading for pleasure again

Sounds like something I would absolutely hate. XD I thought she was a bad writer before. >_>; I suppose Twilight makes her look really good though.

Oooh, oops. I was thinking Feast of All Saints and Cry To Heaven was under that name.
...I like the Sleeping Beauty trilogy, too, though, well 2 of them. But those are the only ones she did under that name. I can't read the ones she wrote under Rampling. | [ ♥ ] | [ ♥ ] | [ ♥ ] |

I can read them both OVER&OVER&OVER again. Even though they're kind of sad and upsetting.
The Feast of All Saints was made into a movie. It stuck pretty close to the book, too.

_.listen._ i can't stand Anne Rice after she found god so violently.
Her son's a pretty decent author though. _.do|what|they|say._ _.or|they|take|it|away._ _.id|rather|be|dead._ _.than|carry|on._

_.listen._ i don't mean it like "ZOMG VIOLENCE" i mean it was just sort of...sudden. Her writing's a lot different, to me that is, pre- and post-godfinding. _.do|what|they|say._ _.or|they|take|it|away._ _.id|rather|be|dead._ _.than|carry|on._

I know what you mean. Prayers every other page and all that.
But even as a nonreligious f*****t, I still enjoy her books.
