I've just barely started and I have mainly been looking into solo auctions that last for about a week long. Is it possible to win those auctions while being in the range of 1-2 million gold if the artist is only offering 1 fullbody to the winner? I can go over 2 million, but not that much over.

That's like asking "How long is a piece of string?". There's no possible way to know whether you could win an auction or not because it depends on things you haven't mentioned to us, namely the artist's skill, their popularity, and their current bid.
I was offering a fullbody for my art auction and got ABed for 20 million before the day was even out. Someone who draws well will obviously have a higher bid than someone who doesn't draw AS well, and the length of the auction really doesn't make a difference at all, it just means that the bids will be more frequent than if the auction dragged on to a month.
Though to be honest, art auctions generally never guarantee the bidder good value--Most of the art you can buy cheaper in their art shop (not saying this is the case all the time; there are some artists like Orestae and Darko that don't really have a shop or it's always on 'hiatus' etc etc), it's just a matter of waiting until the auction is over. Hell, even 'bribing' them after the auction will probably result in you spending less gold than if you bid on their auction and win. Auctions, in most cases (note the 'most' ), are there for the artist's benefit, not yours.

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks. This artist I was bidding on does very well, and the fullbody I was bidding on is going to be made with copic markers. I'll just look through the art shops.

I guess it goes off your own personal opinion of the artist, too. You may be willing to bid a high amount of gold for one particular artist, when another user may not.
I recently won an auction for 8.5mil. I thought it was too much for a single artist, but I absolutely adored the artist's work. The winning bid was originally only for a waist-up with background but after speaking to the artist recently, they told me that art had kind of turned into a full body. So I guess I was lucky. And now I think it was totally worth the bid. Then I see other art auctions with a HB of 10mil, etc and I didn't think the art was anywhere near the quality of the other artist.
I think it just comes down to your personal opinion.
