i would like to draw better backgrounds, anyone mind posting differnt how tos on painting, (on computer) on just backgrounds like clouds, mountians, forests and the like

Yea I might have a few tips I can give you on working on backgrounds
1. Details.... Usually what sets good backgrounds apart from not so good ones are the amount of details in the pic. (examples, bricks in walls, rocks and pebbles in cement, textures on leaves of a plant and so on)
2. Lighting... Oh snap I can't emphasis enough on how much this is UBER IMPORTANT and a major factor in scenery drawings. If you want a background that rocks, lighting has a VERY important role. So if your looking to improve you'll definitely be looking to master your highlights, and shadows, defining clearly were your light source is coming from and all that jazz.
3. Composition... The artistic composition of the elements you put in your background will all play an important roll in keeping the interest of your spectators.
4. Patience ._. I won't lie to you, working on background pics is a BIG job, and requires lots of time. The important thing is to keep at it, and try not to cut corners just because your getting tiered of the pic and want to finish it. Remain consistent with your work and it will pay off in the end.
