Cue Robert Hays parking his taxi in the white zone. Or was it the red zone?

I haven't flown internationally since I was...17, I think. So 5 years ago. It was a fairly short trip, to Boston. I didn't have any problems, since it wasn't a one-way ticket and I was still dependant on my parents in Canada. So, not an illegal immigration risk. I didn't have anything sketchy in my luggage, either. They checked my shoes, which was funny, since I was wearing sandals.

I don't mind flying. I've flown across the country to Vancouver a few times, and to Toronto a handful of times.

I'm not a fan of the Trudeau airport in Montreal. >.O Most of my flights have involved flying out of Halifax and stopping over in Montreal. Hate. Loooaaaathe that airport. It's hard to navigate, the staff seem to be chosen for their ability to be extra unhelpful and surly, and it's just...bah. Hate it. -_-

Eh, I don't have my exciting airport experiences. Except for the fact that my dad used to work for American Airlines and once we got stuck in Chicago with...I think it was my Aunt Amy, I was just a kid at the time, and ended up having to sleep there for the night. THAT was a adventure...for a kid at least. I was so excited I couldn't sleep.

I would prefer to drive...to be quite honest.

I have gone overseas once or twice when I was a kid, but that was only to the Philippines. Nothing to write home about.

Although, that's a 16+ hour trip, with I think an hour layover in Thailand or something. Maybe it was Singapore...anyway, from what I remember, Philippines is 16 or so hours ahead, so people going to and from there are time travelers ^_^

I go to college halfway across the US from home, so I've flown here and back a couple of times now. The worst that happened was me nearly missing a flight to get back here earlier this month. Everyone else was boarding the plane and I got there just as they were giving the last call for me. ^^;

Weirdest thing to happen to me on a flight was a strange woman who was sitting beside me. She 'mmm'd when I opened up my lunch, asked for us to switch seats (I had the aisle) so that she could get out to use the bathroom, and then moved to an empty row so that she could stretch across three seats and sleep. It worked out, because I got our two seats to myself and my parents weren't nervous any more (they were in the row in front of me).

So long as you cooperate with Customs and don't act suspicious, you should make it through okay. I wore a fedora practically covering one eye on a flight from Italy to the US and the customs guy actually joked with me.

Kals is questing again!
Shram you should have grabbed it and chugged what was left of the precious beverage on the spot, before they could confiscate it.

Check sig for details!

...'Cause THAT wouldn't have looked suspicious AT ALL. rofl

Kals is questing again!

WHAT?! They're wasting a perfectly good delicious beverage if they don't let you drink it. And the coke oyu buy in Canada is "Coke Classic" so it just might be a precious substance depending what part of the world you are normally in. Also, would YOU drink a volatile substance that could be used to explode a plane? I sure wouldn't! Do you realise how much it would be agitated just from the acto of swallowing it?

Check sig for details!

My worst airport experience...
It was me(16) my little brother(11) and even younger cousin(7) in Dallas with my aunt on a mini-vacation. My aunt was at some work conference and we pretty much did it up in the hotel. Well when it was time to go back home, my aunt and the rest of us had flights with two different airplane carriers. The assumption was that my aunt was going to get on a plane before us and then wait at the airport for us to arrive about 30 min later. Sounded great... Problem was we couldn't get on the plane. Apparently we had buddy passes, which means you only get to fly if someone who booked a seat on the plane doesn't show. What was supposed to be 30 minutes turned into 6 hours. My brother and cousin were driving me crazy. All we had were word search puzzles, a few dollars for food, and a phone card with just a few minutes on it to let my dad know that I hadn't gone completely crazy. They were restless and hungry and annoying. They even bugged the poor guy behind the counter. The whole thing was horrible for everyone involved. I don't think I flew again for a whole year.
